361 प्रसिद्ध रोमन सम्राट कॉन्स्टेंटियस द्वितीय की सिलिसिया के मोप्सुएस्टिया में बुखार से मृत्यु हुई, मरने से कुछ मिनट पहले उन्होंने बपतिस्मा लिया और अपने चचेरे भाई जूलियन को अपना वास्तविक उत्तराधिकारी घोषित किया।

1500 बेनवेन्यूटो सेलिनी नामक प्रसिद्ध इतालवी मूर्तिकार और चित्रकार का जन्म हुआ।

1505 अकिलिस गेसर प्रसिद्ध जर्मन चिकित्सक और ज्योतिषी का जन्म हुआ।

1527 टाइलमैन हेशुसियस नामक प्रसिद्ध गनेसियो-लूथरन धर्मशास्त्री का जन्म हुआ।

1560 प्रसिद्ध इतालवी चित्रकार और चित्रकार एनीबेल कैरासी का जन्म हुआ।

1587 प्रसिद्ध जर्मन ऑर्गेनिस्ट, संगीतकार और शिक्षक सैमुअल स्कीड्ट का जन्म हुआ।

1618 छठे मुगल बादशाह औरंगजेब मुहिउद्दीन मोहम्मद आलमगीर का जन्म हुआ। उन्होंने भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप पर आधी सदी से भी ज्यादा समय तक शासन किया। अपने समय के सबसे धनी और शक्तिशाली शासक औरंगजेब के शासन में मुगल साम्राज्य अपने विस्तार के चरमोत्कर्ष पर पहुंचा। सम्राट अशोक के बाद औरंगजेब ऐसे शासक हुए जिन्होंने छोटे-छोटे राज्यों को अपने अधीन कर एक बड़े साम्राज्य का निर्माण किया।

1655 इंग्लैंड और फ्रांस ने सैन्य और आर्थिक समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किये।

1688 राजस्थान में आमेर के राजा सवाई जयसिंह का जन्म हुआ।

1762 ब्रिटेन और स्पेन के बीच पेरिस की संधि हुई।

1796 जॉन एडम्स अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति चुने गये।

1838 भारत का प्रमुख अंग्रेजी अखबार द टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया ब्रॉडशीट कागज पर द बॉम्बे टाइम्स एंड जर्नल ऑफ कॉमर्स के रूप में प्रकाशित हुआ।

1857 नानाराव की मथुरा स्थित संपत्ति को ध्वस्त करने के लिये आदेश दिए गये।

1867 ग्यूसेप गैरीबाल्डी और उनके सहयोगी मेंटाना की लड़ाई में हार गए और रोम में पोप को सत्ताच्युत करने में नाकाम रहे। उन दिनों पोप की सत्ता थी और वर्तमान इटली अनेक राज्यों में विभाजित था। पोप के जनता पर अत्याचार बहुत थे। आम जनता पर कर्तव्य अधिक थोपे गये थे लेकिन जनता के अधिकार अत्यधिक कम थे। ग्यूसेप मारिया गैरीबाल्डी एक इतालवी जनरल, देशभक्त, क्रांतिकारी और गणतंत्रवादी थे। उन्होंने इटली के एकीकरण और इटली साम्राज्य के निर्माण में योगदान दिया। इस घटना के 3 साल बाद पोप की सत्ता उखाड़ फेंकी गई। गैरीबाल्डी इटली के कई पितामह में से एक प्रमुख हैं।

1869 कनाडा में हैमिल्टन फुटबाॅल क्लब अस्तित्व में आया।

1878 कर्नाटक के नंजनगुड में विख्यात देवदासी, देवदासी संस्कृति की संरक्षक, प्रशिक्षक, इतिहासकार, कर्नाटक शास्त्रीय गायिका बंगलौर नागारत्नम्मा का जन्म हुआ।

1890 भारत के प्रथम प्रधान न्यायाधीश एच. जे. कानिया का जन्म नवसारी, जम्मू में हुआ।

1903 पनामा को कोलंबिया की गुलामी से आजादी मिली।

1906 बंबई में पृथ्वी थिएटर स्थापित करनेवाले हिंदी फिल्म और रंगमंच अभिनय के शिखर पुरुष, निर्माता और निर्देशक तथा सशक्त अदाकार पृथ्वीराज कपूर का जन्म पाकिस्तान की धरती पर फैसलाबाद में हुआ। हुआ। अपने अभिनय और बुलंद आवाज से उन्होंने कई किरदारों को अमर बना दिया। इनमें अलैक्जैंडर द ग्रेट और मुगले आजम का जिक्र खास तौर से किया जा सकता है।

1911 लुई शेवरले और विलियम सी डुरंट ने डेट्रॉयट में शेवरले मोटर कार कंपनी की शुरूआत की।

1917 स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और महिला अधिकारों की पैरवी करने वाली अन्नापूर्णा महाराणा का जन्म हुआ था।

1928 तुर्की की भाषा के लिए अरबी की बजाय रोमन लिपि के अक्षरों को स्वीकृत किया गया।

1933 अर्थशास्त्र का नोबेल पुरस्कार प्राप्त विश्व विख्यात अर्थशास्त्री अमर्त्य सेन का जन्म हुआ।। उन्होंने कल्याणकारी अर्थव्यवस्था और सामाजिक चयन की थ्योरी देकर समाज के निर्धनतम सदस्यों की समस्याओं की तरफ ध्यान आकर्षित किया।

1937 हिंदी सिनेमा की प्रसिद्ध संगीतज्ञ जोड़ी लक्ष्मीकांत प्यारे लाल के एक संगीतज्ञ लक्ष्मीकांत का जन्म हुआ।

‘1938 असम हिंदी प्रचार समिति’ नामक एक संस्था कायम की गई।

1947 परमवीर चक्र प्राप्त प्रथम भारतीय सैनिक सोमनाथ शर्मा का निधन हुआ।

1959 भारत के वर्तमान नौसेना अध्यक्ष एडमिरल करमबीर सिंह का जन्म जालंधर, पंजाब में हुआ।

1962 चीन के हमले के मद्देनजर भारत में गोल्ड बाॅन्ड स्कीम की घोषणा की गयी।

1964 लिंडन बी. जॉनसन 61 प्रतिशत वोट और 44 राज्यों में जीत के साथ अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति चुने गए।

1974 जानी मानी, खूबसूरत एवं बोल्ड हिंदी तथा मराठी फिल्म अभिनेत्री तथा माॅडल और फिल्म निर्मात्री सोनाली कुलकर्णी का जन्म पुणे में हुआ।

1976 भारतीय निशानेबाज मानवजीत सिंह संधू का जन्म हुआ।

1979 भोजपुरी सिनेमा की बोल्ड, खूबसूरत, लोकप्रिय अभिनेत्री तथा माॅडल रानी चटर्जी का जन्म बंबई में हुआ।

1984 प्रधामंत्री श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी की सिख चरमपंथ से प्रेरित सुरक्षा गार्डों द्वारा 31 अक्टूबर 1984 को हत्या कर दिए जाने के बाद भारत में हुए सिख विरोधी दंगों में करीब तीन हजार लोगों के मारे जाने का अंदाजा जाहिर किया गया। इसी दिन 1984 लोकप्रिय टेलीविजन धारावाहिक भाभी जी घर पर हैं की अनीता मिश्रा, खूबसूरत, बोल्ड अभिनेत्री, माॅडल और टेलीविजन तथा रियलिटी शो होस्ट सौम्या टंडन का जन्म भोपाल में हुआ।

1985 जानी मानी बाॅलीवुड गायिका, अभिनेत्री एवं माॅडल मोनाली ठाकुर का जन्म कलकत्ता में हुआ।

1986 ईरान-कॉन्ट्रा मामला तनाव के बीच लेबनानी पत्रिका ऐश-शिरा ने रिपोर्ट दी कि लेबनान में ईरान समर्थक समूहों द्वारा रखे गए सात अमेरिकी बंधकों की रिहाई सुनिश्चित करने के लिए संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका गुप्त रूप से ईरान को हथियार बेच रहा है। इसी दिन 1986 में कॉम्पेक्ट ऑफ फ्री एसोसिएशन कानून बना, जिससे फेडरेटेड स्टेट्स ऑफ माइक्रोनेशिया और मार्शल आइलैंड्स को संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका से स्वतंत्रता मिल गई।

1987 साल्ट लेक सिटी, उटाह, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में एलिजाबेथ एन गिल्मर का जन्म हुआ। एलिजाबेथ स्मार्ट के नाम से वे प्रसिद्ध अमेरिकी बाल सुरक्षा, बाल अधिकार कार्यकर्ता और एबीसी न्यूज की कमेंटेटर और मंचीय प्रोग्राम प्रस्तोता हैं। 14 साल की उम्र में उनकी ओर राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर ध्यान गया जब ब्रायन डेविड मिशेल द्वारा साल्ट लेक सिटी में उनके घर से उनका अपहरण कर लिया गया था।

1988 वायु सेना ने आगरा से एक पैराशूट बटालियन समूह को लिया।

1989 नव नाम से मशहूर जाने माने कनाडाई गायक, रैपर, गीतकार और संगीत के कारोबारी नवरोज सिंह गोराया का जन्म कनाडा के शहर टोरंटो में हुआ। इसी दिन जाने माने भारतीय टेलीविजन अभिनेता और माॅडल हिमांश कोहली का जन्म दिल्ली में हुआ। 

1990 बांग्ला सिनेमा की लोकप्रिय अभिनेत्री एवं माॅडल शुभाश्री गांगुली का जन्म बर्दमान पश्चिम बंगाल में हुआ।

1992 दक्षिण भारतीय सिनेमा की खूबसूरत, बोल्ड जानी मानी फिल्म अभिनेत्री तथा माॅडल मनीषा यादव का जन्म बंगलौर में हुआ। इसी दिन राष्ट्रपति एच डब्ल्यू बुश को हराकर डेमोक्रेट बिल क्लिंटन अमेरिका के 42वें राष्ट्रपति बने।

1996 अपनी क्रूरता के लिए कुख्यात केंद्रीय अफ्रीकी गणराज्य के तानाशाह जान बेडेल बोकासा का निधन हुआ।

1997 जी-15 समूह का सातवां शिखर सम्मेलन कुआलालम्पुर में शुरु हुआ।

2000 भारत सरकार ने डायरेक्ट टू होम प्रसारण सेवा डीटीएच सभी के लिये शुरू की।

2001 अमेरिका ने पाकिस्तानी चरमपंथी संगठनों लश्कर व जैश-ए-मोहम्मद पर प्रतिबंध लगाया।

2002 नखोम पाथोम की बैठक में लिट्टे ने राजनीति की मुख्य धारा में शामिल होने की इच्छा व्यक्त की।

2007 पाकिस्तान पीपुल्स पार्टी की प्रमुख बेनजीर भुट्टो को उनके घर में नजरबंद किया गया। इसी दिन बढ़ती आतंकवादी हिंसा के कारण राष्ट्रपति परवेज मुशर्रफ ने पाकिस्तान में आपातकाल की घोषणा की।

2008 यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया ने अपनी उधारी दरों में 0.5 प्रतिशत की कमी की।

2011 फ्रांस के कांस नगर में जी-20 शिखर सम्मेलन शुरू हुआ जिसमें यूरोजोन ऋण संकट पर चर्चा की गई। इसी दिन पाकिस्तान के तीन क्रिकेटरों सलमान बट्ट, मो, आसिफ और मो. आमेर को एक साल पहले लॉडर्स टेस्ट के दौरान हुए स्पॉट फिक्सिंग के आरोप में तीन साल की जेल हुई।

2012 इटली के ट्यूरिन शहर को आधिकारिक तौर पर 2015 यूरोपियन कैपिटल ऑफ स्पोर्ट के रूप में नामित किया गया।

2013 लाहौर में जन्मी मशहूर लोक गायिका रेशमा का निधन हुआ। उन्होंने भारतीय फिल्मी गीतों को भी अपनी आवाज दी।

2014 अमेरिका के न्यू याॅर्क में हुए आतंकवादी हमले में वर्ल्ड ट्रेड सेंटर गिराये जाने के 13 साल बाद उसी जगह पर एक वर्ल्ड ट्रेड सेंटर खोला गया। इसी दिन गॉर्डन टुलॉक, अमेरिकी अर्थशास्त्री और अकादमिक एवं हिंदी फिल्मों के विख्यात खलनायक सदाशिव अमरापुरकर का निधन हुआ।

2015 अहमद चलाबी, इराकी व्यवसायी और राजनीतिज्ञ, हॉवर्ड कोबल, अमेरिकी कप्तान, वकील और राजनीतिज्ञ एवं टॉम ग्रेवेनी, अंग्रेजी क्रिकेटर और स्पोर्ट्सकास्टर का निधन हुआ।

2015 लॉरेटा नगकोबो, दक्षिण अफ्रीकी उपन्यासकार और निबंधकार का निधन हुआ।

2016 प्रसिद्ध अमेरिकी गायक के स्टार का निधन हुआ।

2018 खूबसूरत, बोल्ड, लोकप्रिय अमेरिकी अभिनेत्री, माॅडल और फिल्म निर्देशक सोंद्रा लोके का निधन हुआ।

2020 अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति चुनाव डेमोक्रेटिक जो बिडेन और रिपब्लिकन निवर्तमान राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प के बीच हुआ। 7 नवंबर को बिडेन को विजेता घोषित किया गया।

2022 ऑस्ट्रेलियाई समाचार हाउस स्टार न्यूज ग्रुप के संगठन नूसा शायर द्वारा प्रस्तावित इंटरनेशन डे फार बायोस्फीयर रिजर्व को यूनेस्को से 2021 में मान्यता मिलने के बाद 2022 के 3 नवंबर को दुनिया में मनाया गया। यह खासतौर पर वन्य, प्राकृतिक संपदा बचाने के लिए है। नूसा बायोस्फीयर रिजर्व फाउंडेशन की अध्यक्ष फियोना बर्किन के अनुसार यह दुनिया भर के बायोस्फीयर रिजर्व के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण दिन है। उन्होंने कहा, आज, दुनिया भर के समुदाय स्थिरता और अपने प्राकृतिक पर्यावरण के साथ सद्भाव में रहने के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता का जश्न मनाते हैं। बायोस्फीयर रिजर्व के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस प्रकृति और जीवित दुनिया दोनों के लिए पूर्ण सम्मान के साथ, हर जगह वास्तविक सतत विकास प्रथाओं को लागू करने के लिए इन क्षेत्रों से प्रेरणा लेने का निमंत्रण है। साल-दर-साल, पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों से निपटने की आवश्यकता अधिक जरूरी हो जाती है क्योंकि जलवायु परिवर्तन, निवास स्थान की हानि और जैव विविधता की हानि जैसी चुनौतियाँ चरम बिंदु पर पहुँच जाती हैं।
