1895 वाशिंगटन, डीसी से बाल्टीमोर और ओहियो रेलरोड के रॉयल ब्लू का उद्घाटन हुआ और, न्यूयॉर्क शहर में इलेक्ट्रिक इंजन का उपयोग कर पहली अमेरिकी यात्री ट्रेन चली।

1922 विख्यात तमिल साहित्यकार अकिलन का जन्म हुआ।

1952 ग्वाटेमाला की संसद ने लंबे भूमि सुधार की मांग के आंदोलन के बाद डिक्री 900 पारित की जिसके अनुसार स्थानीय किसानों को 224 एकड़ से अधिक आकार की भूमि का पुनर्वितरण किया गया।

1954 सोवियत संघ का पहला परमाणु ऊर्जा केंद्र ओबिंस्क न्यूक्लियर पावर प्लांट मास्को के पास ओबनिंस्क में खुला। यह दुनिया में पहला ग्रिड-कनेक्टेड न्यूक्लियर पावर स्टेशन था यानी पहला परमाणु रिएक्टर जिसने छोटे पैमाने पर व्यावसायिक बिजली का उत्पादन किया।

1955 प्रसिद्ध भारतीय पत्रकार पूर्णिमा वर्मन का जन्म हुआ।

1957 ब्रिटिश मेडिकल रिसर्च काउंसिल ने एक रिपोर्ट जारी की जिसमें बताया गया कि धूम्रपान की वजह से फेफड़ों का कैंसर हो सकता है। ये रिपोर्ट 25 साल के शोध पर आधारित थी।

1964 उड़नपरी के नाम से दुनियाभर में पहचान बनाने वाली पी.टी.ऊषा का जन्म हुआ।

1967 लंदन के एनफील्ड में विश्व का पहला एटीएम स्थापित किया गया। एटीएम नामक नकद लेन-देन की मशीन आविष्कृत करने वाले ब्रिटिश आविष्कारक जाॅन शेफर्ड बैराॅन का जन्म शिलोंग, भारत में 23 जून 1925 को हुआ था। इसी दिन प्रसिद्ध भारतीय जैन मुनि प्रमाण सागर का जन्म हजारीबाग बिहार में हुआ।

1968 जानी मानी उड़िया शास्त्रीय नृत्यांगना और नृत्य शिक्षिका सुजाता मोहापात्रा का जन्म बालासौर, उड़ीसा में हुआं।

1977 फ्रांस ने जिबूती को स्वतंत्रता दी। जिबूती गणराज्य अफ्रीका के हॉर्न में स्थित है। यह उत्तर में इरिट्रिया, पश्चिम में इथियोपिया और दक्षिण पूर्व में सोमालिया से घिरा है। सीमा का शेष भाग पूर्व में लाल सागर और अदन की खाड़ी से सटा है।

1980 विख्यात अंगरेज क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी केविन पीटरसन का जन्म हुआ।

1985 रूस की विश्व चर्चित महिला टेनिस खिलाड़ी स्वेतलाना कुजनेत्सोवा Svetlana Aleksandrovna Kuznetsova का जन्म हुआ।

1986 निकारागुआ बनाम संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका मामले में इंटरनेशनल कोर्ट ऑफ जस्टिस ने फैसला सुनाया कि संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका ने निकारागुआ सरकार के खिलाफ विद्रोह में कॉन्ट्रा विद्रोहियों को समर्थन देकर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कानून का उल्लंघन किया है।

1987 बाॅलीवुड फिल्मों के प्रसिद्ध प्रोफेशनल कास्टिंग डायरेक्टर मनोज रमोला का जन्म बागेश्वर उत्तराखंड में हुआ।

1991 जानी मानी भारतीय फिल्म अभिनेत्री एवं माॅडल रुक्मिनी मित्रा का जन्म कोलकाता में हुआ।

1992 दक्षिण भारतीय फिल्मों की जानी मानी, खूबसूरत, बोल्ड अभिनेत्री एवं माॅडल कार्तिका नायर का जन्म चेन्नई में हुआ।

1993 मोस्टलीसेन के नाम से प्रसिद्ध भारतीय यूट्यूबर, अभिनेत्री, माॅडल एवं ब्लॉगर प्रजाक्ता कोली का जन्म ठाणे में हुआ।

2017 प्रत्येक वर्ष 27 जून को वैश्विक स्तर पर सूक्ष्म-लघु और मध्यम आकार के उद्यम दिवस (माइक्रो, स्माल एंड मीडियम साइज्ड इंटरप्राइजेज डे - एमएसएमई डे) मनाया जाता है। इसे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय लघु व्यवसाय परिषद की मांग पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने मंजूर किया। सूक्ष्म-लघु और मध्यम आकार के उद्यम दिवस को संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा द्वारा 6 अप्रैल 2017 को अपने 74 वें पूर्ण सत्र में चिह्नित किया गया। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय लघु व्यवसाय परिषद (आईसीएसबी) के 2016 के विश्व सम्मेलन में वैश्विक विकास में एमएसएमई की भूमिका पर तत्काल एक सम्मेलन बुलाने की मांग पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र में सोचा गया। संयुक्त राष्ट्र में अर्जेंटीना के स्थायी मिशन द्वारा आईसीएसबी के समर्थन और 45 सदस्य देशों द्वारा सह-प्रायोजित एक प्रस्ताव लिखा और प्रस्तुत किया गया था। बाद में, 27 जून को सूक्ष्म-लघु और मध्यम आकार के उद्यम दिवस के रूप में नामित किया गया। संयुक्त राष्ट्र का कहना है कि एमएसएमई दुनिया भर में 90 व्यवसायों, 60 से 70 प्रतिशत रोजगार और सकल घरेलू उत्पाद का 50ः हिस्सा है। हर जगह समाज की रीढ़ के रूप में वे स्थानीय और राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्थाओं और विशेष रूप से कामकाजी गरीबों, महिलाओं, युवाओं और कमजोर परिस्थितियों में समूहों के बीच आजीविका बनाए रखने में योगदान देते हैं। यदि पर्याप्त समर्थन दिया जाए तो एमएसएमई अर्थव्यवस्थाओं को बदलने, रोजगार सृजन को बढ़ावा देने और समान आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा देने की क्षमता रखता है। एमएसएमई दिवस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य उनकी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका को उजागर करना और उनकी आगे की उन्नति के अवसरों का पता लगाना है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र सतत विकास लक्ष्यों की प्राप्ति में एमएसएमई के महत्वपूर्ण योगदान के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए 27 जून को सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम आकार के उद्यम दिवस (ए/आरईएस/71/279) के रूप में नामित किया है।

2022 केंद्र सरकार की भारतीय सेना में नियमित सैनिक भर्ती के स्थान पर 4 साल के लिए घोषित की गई अग्निीपथ, अग्निवीर योजना का विरोध देश भर में हो रहा है। कांग्रेस ने देश भर में योजना के विरुद्ध सत्याग्रह आयोजित किया। कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष प्रधानमंत्री अपने मित्रों को 50 साल के लिए देश के एयरपोर्ट देकर दौलतवीर और युवाओं को सिर्फ 4 साल के ठेके पर अग्निवीर बना रहे हैं। 27 जून को देशभर में कांग्रेस पार्टी ने अग्निपथ योजना  विरोध में सत्याग्रह किया। राहुल ने कहा कि जब तक युवाओं को न्याय नहीं मिलता, ये सत्याग्रह नहीं रुकेगा।

2022 लखनऊ में समाजवादी पार्टी अध्यक्ष (पूर्व मुख्यमत्री) अखिलेश यादव ने योगी आदित्यनाथ सरकार की कार्यशैली पर सवाल उठाते हुए गंभीर आरोप लगाए। अखिलेश यादव ने कहा कि भाजपा राज में प्रत्येक जिले के नये-नये अपराधिक उत्पाद पैदा कर दिए। ऐसे संगठित गिरोह में हैं जिनका काम खनिज सम्पदा की लूट करना और वृक्षों का अवैध कटान करना है। वृक्षारोपण के नाम पर भाजपा सरकार केवल कागजी खानापूर्ति करती है। अवैध कटान और पशुओं की तस्करी को भाजपा प्रोत्साहित करती है। इसके चलते कानून व्यवस्था पूरी तरह ध्वस्त हो गई है। अपराधियों पर कोई नियंत्रण नहीं रह गया है। जनता की अदालत में भाजपा को इन सब कुकृत्यों के लिए जवाब देना ही होगा।

It was approved by the United Nations on the demand of the International Small Business Council. Micro-small and medium-sized Enterprises Day was marked by the United Nations General Assembly at its 74th plenary session on 6 April 2017. At the 2016 World Conference of the International Small Business Council (ICSB), the demand for an urgent convening of a conference on the role of MSMEs in global development was thought at the United Nations. A resolution was written and presented by the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the United Nations, supported by the ICSB and co-sponsored by 45 member states. Later, June 27 was designated as Micro-Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Day. The United Nations says that MSMEs account for 90% of businesses, 60 to 70% of employment and 50% of GDP worldwide. As the backbone of societies everywhere, they contribute to the sustenance of local and national economies and livelihoods, especially among the working poor, women, youth and groups in vulnerable situations. If given adequate support, MSMEs have the potential to transform economies, spur job creation and promote equitable economic growth. The aim of the MSME Day event is to highlight their vital role and explore opportunities for their further advancement. The United Nations General Assembly has designated 27 June as Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Day (A/RES/71/279) to raise awareness of the important contribution of MSMEs to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals .
