399 सिरिसियस का निधन हुआ। वे अपनी मृत्यु तक रोम के बिशप थे। टैरागोना के बिशप हिमेरियस से विवाद के बाद सिरिसियस ने डायरेक्टा डिक्रीटल जारी किया, जिसमें बपतिस्मा, चर्च अनुशासन और अन्य मामलों के आदेश शामिल थे। उनके सबसे पुराने पूरी तरह से संरक्षित पोप डिक्रीटल्स हैं। सिरिसियस खुद को पोप कहने वाले रोम के पहले बिशप थे।

1161 चीन के कैशी की लड़ाई में जिन-सोंग युद्धों के दौरान सांग राजवंश के बेड़े ने यांग्त्जी नदी पर जिन राजवंश के जहाजों के साथ नौसैनिक युद्ध किया।

1914 हरियाणा के प्रमुख राजनेता हुए रणवीर सिंह हुड्डा का जन्म हुआ।

1919 भारत के प्रसिद्ध इतिहासकार और शिक्षाविद् राम शरण शर्मा का जन्म हुआ। इतिहास पर उन्होंने वृहद खोज और लेखन किया। आपको उनकी कम से कम प्राचीन भारत और आर्य संस्कृति नाम की किताब तो हर किसी को पढ़नी चाहिए।

1921 देश में श्वेत क्रांति के जनक वर्गीज कुरियन का जन्म हुआ। श्वेत क्रांति का मतलब अधिकाधिक पशु दुग्ध उत्पादन। इन्होंने पशुपालन और दुग्ध उत्पादन को बढ़ावा दिया। इन्हें मिल्कमेन भी कहा गया।

1923 बाॅलीवुड फिल्मों के प्रसिद्ध सिनेमेटोग्राफर वीके मूर्ति का जन्म हुआ।

1926 प्रो यशपाल का जन्म हुआ। प्रो. यशपाल विख्यात वैज्ञानिक और शिक्षाशस्त्री हुए। इन्होंने गरीब, आम आदमी के लिए गुणवत्तापरक शिक्षा के लिए प्रयत्न किये। 1973-1981 तक अंतरिक्ष उपयोग केंद्र के पहले निदेशक के रूप में अहमदाबाद में प्रो. यशपाल ने आम आदमी के हित के लिए अंतरिक्ष प्रौद्योगिकी के अनुप्रयोगों के क्षेत्र में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मान्यता प्राप्त एक उत्कृष्ट संस्था के रूप में इस केंद्र का निर्माण किया। इसी दिन प्रसिद्ध राजनीतिज्ञ, लोकसभा अध्यक्ष रहे रवि का जन्म हुआ।

1932 महान क्रिकेटर डॉन ब्रैडमैन ने प्रथम श्रेणी क्रिकेट में दस हजार रन बनाये।

1933 जाने माने भारतीय सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता, वामपंथी राजनीज्ञ, तर्कवादी एवं शिवाजी कौन होता शीर्षक बहुचर्चित किताब के लेखक गोविंद पानसरे का जन्म अहमदनगर में हुआ।

1948 विश्व का पहला पोलराइड कैमरा बॉस्टन, अमेरिका में बेचा गया।

1949 डाॅ. भीमराव अंबेडकर लिखित भारत का संविधान अंगीकृत किया गया। संविधान सभा के अध्यक्ष राष्ट्रपति राजेंद्र प्रसाद ने स्वतंत्र भारत के संविधान पर हस्ताक्षर किए। संविधान 26 जनवरी 1950 से लागू किया गया। 26 नवंबर को भारत में संविधान दिवस मनाया जाता है। जो संविधान को हाशिये पर धकेल चुके हैं वही बढ़-चढ़ कर संविधान दिवस पर इवेंटबाजियां करते हैं। हमें गंभीरता से संविधान से हो रहे खिलवाड़ का विरोध करते हुए अपने संवैधानिक अधिकारों को बचाना होगा।

1950 कोरियाई युद्ध-चोसिन जलाशय और चोंगचोन नदी की लड़ाइयों के साथ, चीन ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा बल के खिलाफ बड़े पैमाने पर पलटवार किया।

1952 विख्यात और कुख्यात उर्दू शायर मुनव्वर राना का जन्म रायबरेली, उत्तर प्रदेश में हुआ। इन्हें मां नाम की किताब पर साहित्य अकादम पुरस्कार से भी पुरस्कृत किया गया।

1954 किशन जी के नाम से मशहूर माओवादी कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी के पोलित ब्यूरो सदस्य, आंध्र पदेश के प्रमुख जनअधिकारवादी नेता, पश्चिम बंगाल में नक्सल आंदोलन चलाने वाले मल्लोजुला कोटेश्वर राव का  पेड्डपल्ली आंध्र प्रदेश में जन्म हुआ। पश्चिम बंगाल में इस जनपक्षधर नेता की पुलिस ने 24 नवंबर 2011 को गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी।

1961 ब्रिटेन के अमीर और बर्मिंघम विश्व विद्यालय के कुलपति तथा विख्यात बियर ब्रांड कोबरा बियर के मालिक करन फरीदुन बिलिमोरिया, बैरोन बिलिमोरिया का जन्म हैदराबाद में हुआ।

1966 फ्रांस की रेंस नदी के मुहाने पर विश्व के पहले ज्वारीय ऊर्जा संयत्र ने काम करना शुरू किया।

1967 पुर्तगाल की राजधानी लिस्बन में बादल फटने से करीब 450 लोगों की मौत।

1974 जाने माने बाॅलीवुड फिल्म अभिनेता और माॅडल, फिल्म निर्माता और टेलीविजन शो प्रस्तोता अर्जुन रामपाल का जन्म जबलपुर में हुआ।

1977 दक्षिण पूर्वी इंग्लैंड में प्रसारित इंटरगैलेक्टिक एसोसिएशन के सदर्न टेलीविजन का प्रतिनिधित्व करने का दावा करते हुए दर्शकों को चेतावनी दी कि बुराई के अपने सभी हथियारों को नष्ट कर देना चाहिए।

1979 जानी मानी खूबसूरत एवं बोल्ड मलयालम फिल्म अभिनेत्री एवं माॅडल संयुक्ता वर्मा का जन्म तिरुवला में हुआ।

1983 हथियारबंद डकैतों ने लंदन के हीथ्रो हवाई अड्डे पर ढाई करोड़ पाउंड के सोने की लूट की।

1984 खूबसूरत, बोल्ड, बहुप्रतिभावान मुख्यतः मलयालम सिनेमा की अभिनेत्री, प्रमुख डबिंग कलाकार एवं माॅडल रिया सैरा का जन्म कोट्टायम में हुआ। इराक और अमेरिका ने कूटनीतिक संबंध पुनः स्थापित किए।

1986 तमिल सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध फिल्म निर्देशक, पटकथा लेखक आनंद शंकर का जन्म हुआ।

1988 जस्सी गिल के नाम से मशहूर जाने माने गायक, फिल्म अभिनेता एवं रियलिटी शो प्रस्तोता जसदीप सिंह गिल का जन्म खन्ना में हुआ। इसी दिन जानी-मानी दक्षिण भारतीय फिल्म अभिनेत्री मीरा नंदन का जन्म हुआ।

1989 लखनऊ में जानी मानी दक्षिण भारतीय फिल्म अभिनेत्री एवं बोल्ड माॅडल मीशा घोषल का जन्म हुआ।

1990 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड माॅडल, रियलिटी शो पर्फोमर तथा टेलीविजन अभिनेत्री अनुप्रिया कपूर का जन्म हुआ।

1992 विश्व पर्यावरण संरक्षण दिवस मनाने की शुरुआत हुई।

1996 मंगल ग्रह पर जीवन की संभावनाओं का पता लगाने के लिए अमेरिकी अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी नासा ने अंतरिक्ष यान मार्स ग्लोबल सर्वेयर अंतरिक्ष में भेजा 1996 संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद ने इराक के संदर्भ में आयल फॉर फूड डील प्रस्ताव सर्वसम्मति से पारित किया।

1997 पाकिस्तान के सुप्रीम कोर्ट के दो जजों ने मुख्य न्यायाधीश को निलंबित किया।

1998 दिल्ली से सटे नौएडा जिसकी फुलफार्म है न्यू ओखला डवलपमेंट ऐरिया में शिवम मालवी गुर्जर का जन्म हुआ। शिवम जाने माने क्रिकेटर हैं। इसी दिन तुर्की के प्रधानमंत्री मेसुत यिल्माज ने संसद में अपनी सरकार के विश्वासमत हासिल नहीं कर पाने के बाद इस्तीफा दिया। 1998 में इसी दिन कंबोडिया के प्रधानमंत्री हुनसेन को औपचारिक रूप से पुनः देश का नया प्रधानमंत्री नियुक्त किया गया। इसी दिन 1998 में माहे (सेशल्स) में इस्रायल की लीनोर अबार्गिल 1998 की मिस वर्ल्ड चुनी गईं। वे अब अभिनेत्री, लाॅयर, माॅडल और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता हैं। 1998 में इसी दिन टोनी ब्लेयर आयरलैंड की संसद को संबोधित करने वाले पहले ब्रिटिश प्रधानमंत्री बने।

2001 नेपाल में 200 माओवादी विद्रोही मारे गये और राजा ज्ञानेंद्र की सरकार ने देश में आपातकाल लागू किया।

2002 बीबीसी के सर्वेक्षण में विंस्टन चर्चिल महानतम ब्रिटिश नागरिक चुने गये।

2006 इराक बम धमाके में 202 लोगों की मौत हुई।

2006 गाजा पट्टी में इजरायल और फिलिस्तीनी लड़ाकों के बीच संघर्ष विराम शुरू हुआ। फिलिस्तीनी राष्ट्रपति महमूद अब्बासंद इजरायल के प्रधानमंत्री एहुद ओलमर्ट के बीच वार्ता हुई।

2008 भारत के मुंबई में पाकिस्तान समर्थित आत्मघाती आतंकवादी हमला हुआ। आतंकवादियों ने ताज होटल में घुसकर अनेक अतिथियों को बंधक बना लिया। इसे भारतीय सेना ने तीन दिनों की कार्यवाई के पश्चात मुक्त करा लिया। सरकार के अनुसार आतंकवादी हमले में 164 लोग मरे, 250 से अधिक घायल हुए।

2008 1982 बैच के आईपीएस अधिकारी और मुम्बई के आतंक विरोधी दस्ते के प्रमुख हेमंत करकरे की गोली लगने से मौत हुई। मौत आंतकियों की गोली लगने से हुई या पुलिस की। यह स्पष्ट नहीं है। हिंदू चरमपंथियों की गतिविधियों की जांच करने वाले इस अफसर की मौत से साध्वी प्रज्ञा और उनके तमाम आरोपी खुश हुए।

2011 अमेरिका के नेतृत्व वाले नाटो बलों ने अफगानिस्तान-पाकिस्तान सीमा के साथ दो पाकिस्तानी सैन्य चुंगियों पर पाकिस्तानी सुरक्षा बलों को तैनात किया। इसी दिन 2011 में नासा ने रोबोटिक मंगल विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला का शुभारंभ किया, जो अभी तक मंगल पर भेजा गया सबसे बड़ा रोवर है, जिसका उद्देश्य मंगल ग्रह पर पिछले या वर्तमान जीवन के लिए साक्ष्य खोजना है।

2012 सीरिया में हवाई हमले में दस बच्चों की मौत और 15 घायल हुए। 2012 में इसी दिन वैज्ञानिकों ने एक अंटार्कटिक झील विडा में जीवन पाया जो कई हजारों साल पहले बर्फ की मोटी चादर ने ढक लिया था। इसी दिन 2012 में तथाकथित गांधीवादी अन्ना हजारे के लोकपाल के लिए चलाए गये आंदोलन से निकले अरविंद केजरीवाल ने आम आदमी पार्टी के नाम से एक नई राजनीतिक पार्टी बनाई। केजरीवाल आजकल दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री हैं।

2014 प्रसिद्ध भारतीय इतिहासकार और चिंतक तपन राय चैधरी का निधन हुआ।

2018 अमेरिकी अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी नासा का इनसाइट मिशन सात महीने की यात्रा के बाद मंगल ग्रह पर उतरा। 2018 में इसी दिन अफगानिस्तान में पुलिस काफिले पर तालिबान के हमले में 22 पुलिसकर्मियों की मौत हुई।

2019 शिवसेना, कांग्रेस, राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी यानी एनसीपी गठबंधन महा विकास आघाड़ी ने महाराष्ट्र में सरकार बनाने का दावा पेश किया। 2019 में इसी दिन ट्रांसजेंडर समुदाय के सदस्यों के अधिकारों को सुनिश्चित करने संबंधी विधेयक संसद में पारित हुआ। इसी दिन 2019 में उत्तरपूर्वी यूरोप में स्थित देश अल्बानिया के पश्चिमी हिस्से में 6.4 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया, जिसमें कम से कम 52 लोग मारे गए और 1000 से अधिक घायल हो गए। यह 2019 का दुनिया का सबसे जबरदस्त भूकंप और 99 वर्षों में अल्बानिया आया सबसे घातक भूकंप था।

2021 भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस की महासचिव और प्रदेश प्रभारी प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा ने 26 नवंबर को प्रयागराज में सोरांव विधानसभा के फुलवरिया गोहरी मोहनगंज गांव में मजदूरी करने वाले फूलचंद पासी के परिवार से मिलकर पीड़ा साझा की और परिवार को ढांढस बंधाया। बीते बुधवार - गुरूवार की रात फूलचंद पासी समेत परिवार के चार लोगों की हत्या कर दी गई थी। पीड़ित परिवार ने प्रियंका को बताया कि पड़ोस के सामन्ती गुंडों ने हत्या कर दी थी। 2 एफआईआर कराने के बाद भी पुलिस ने कोई प्रभावी कार्यवाही नहीं की, जिससे आरोपियों के हौसले बुलंद होते गये। स्थानीय पुलिस और प्रशासन ने गुंडों को संरक्षण दिया और खुलकर गुंडों का साथ दिया। कांग्रेस महासचिव ने कहा कि इस सरकार में गरीबों, दलितों, वंचितों की कोई सुनवाई नहीं है ,भाजपा सरकार में लगातार कानून व्यवस्था की खुलकर धज्जियां उड़ाई जा रहीं हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश में पुलिस बेलगाम है। योगी सरकार का इकबाल गायब है। उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस पीडित को न्याय देने के बजाय धन उगाही में ज्याद रूचि रखती है। और प्रायः अन्याय करने वाले के साथ खड़ी दिखाई देती है। जिसके फलस्वरूप फुलवरिया गोहरी जैसी घटनांयें घटती हैं। इस सरकार में गरीबों, दलितों एवं वंचितों की कोई सुनवाई नहीं है। योगी शासन में कानून व्यवस्था का बुरा हाल है। केन्द्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शाह का कहना है कि यूपी में अपराध खोजने के लिए दूरबीन की जरूरत होती है, जबकि उन्हें दूरबीन नहीं चश्मा लगाने की जरूरत है। उन्होने कहा आज संविधान दिवस है। न्याय संविधान का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण मूल्य है। मैं न्याय की लड़ाई के साथ हूँ।

2021 नीति आयोग के बहुआयामी गरीबी सूचकांक (एमपीआई) के अनुसार बिहार, झारखंड और उत्तर प्रदेश देश के सबसे गरीब राज्यों के रूप में सामने आए हैं। सूचकांक के अनुसार, बिहार की 51.91 प्रतिशत जनसंख्या गरीब है तो झारखंड में 42.16 प्रतिशत और उत्तर प्रदेश में 37.79 प्रतिशत आबादी गरीब है। सूचकांक में मध्य प्रदेश (36.65 प्रतिशत) चैथे स्थान पर है, जबकि मेघालय (32.67 प्रतिशत) पांचवें स्थान पर है। सूचकांक में सबसे नीचे के राज्यों में केरल (0.71 प्रतिशत), गोवा (3.76 प्रतिशत), सिक्किम (3.82 प्रतिशत), तमिलनाडु (4.89 प्रतिशत) और पंजाब (5.59 प्रतिशत) पूरे देश में सबसे कम गरीब लोगों वाले राज्य हैं। केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में, दादरा और नगर हवेली (27.36 प्रतिशत), जम्मू-कश्मीर, और लद्दाख (12.58), दमन एवं दीव (6.82 प्रतिशत) और चंडीगढ़ (5.97 प्रतिशत) देश के सबसे गरीब केंद्र शासित प्रदेश हैं। पुडुचेरी की 1.72 प्रतिशत आबादी गरीब है। इसके अलावा लक्षद्वीप (1.82 प्रतिशत), अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह (4.30 प्रतिशत) और दिल्ली (4.79 प्रतिशत) ने बेहतर प्रदर्शन किया है। बिहार में कुपोषित लोगों की संख्या सबसे अधिक है, जिसके बाद झारखंड, मध्य प्रदेश, उत्तर प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ का स्थान है।

2021 उत्तर प्रदेश विधान सभा चुनाव 2022 के लिए कांग्रेस के उत्तर प्रदेश पर्यवेक्षक छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने कहा कि आज संविधान व संवैधानिक संस्थाएं दोनों कमजोर की जा रही हैं। कहा कि भाजपा के लोग लड़ाने वाले इनसे सतर्क रहने की जरूरत है। भूपेश बघेल ने शुक्रवार को प्रदेश में कांग्रेस का सदस्यता महाअभियान का शुभारंभ किया। कहा कि संविधान की रक्षा, देश की एकता व अखंडता के लिए कांग्रेस को मजबूत करना बहुत जरूरी है। कहा कि जब देश आजाद हुआ तब यहां सुई तक नहीं बनती थी, कांग्रेस के ही शासनकाल में सुई से लेकर राकेट तक बनाने का काम हुआ है। इसके बावजूद भाजपा के लोग कहते हैं कांग्रेस ने दिया ही क्या है। यह लड़ाने व देश बांटने वाले लोग हैं। इनसे सतर्क रहने की जरूरत है। इसी दिन पूर्व सांसद सावित्री बाई फुले के संविधान बचाओ महा आंदोलन मंच की ओर से लखनऊ के कांशीराम स्मृति उपवन में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में अखिलेश यादव ने मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में बोलते हुए कहा कि कहा कि लोगों को बाबा साहब के संविधान पर भरोसा है। हम लोग भाजपा को बाहर कर युवाओं को हक और सम्मान दिलाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि आज प्रदेश में जितने भी एयरपोर्ट हैं सभी घाटे में हैं। सभी एयरलाइंस भी घाटे में चल रहीं हैं। भाजपा सब बेचने पर लगी है। इसके बाद भी समाजवादी पार्टी आपका हक और सम्मान दिलाएगी। अखिलेश यादव ने कहा कि टीवी पर किसान कानून वापस लेने वाले लोगों ने गाड़ी से कुचलकर किसानों की जान ली। विपक्ष के दबाव से तीनों काले कृषि कानून वापस हुए हैं। टीवी पर संबोधन से कानून वापस हुए हैं। समाजवादी लोग किसानों की मदद कर रहे हैं। समाजवादी लोग ही किसान को सम्मान देंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि सपा सरकार बनने पर किसानों का सम्मान राशि देंगे। इसी दिन संविधान दिवस के मौके पर पूर्व विधायक सावित्री बाई फुले द्वारा आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में शामिल होने के लिए लखनऊ पहुंची बसपा संस्थापक कांशीराम की बहन स्वर्ण कौर ने कहा, मायावती ने उस पार्टी को खत्म कर दिया है जिसे कांशीराम जी ने खड़ा किया था। उन्होंने पार्टी को पारिवारिक उद्यम में बदल दिया है और इतने सालों में उन्होंने गरीबों के लिए कुछ भी नहीं किया है। कांशीराम फाउंडेशन की प्रमुख स्वर्ण कौर ने कहा कि परिवार का किसी राजनीतिक दल से कोई संबंध नहीं है। कांशीराम के भतीजे लखबीर सिंह ने कहा कि वे गुरुवार को लखनऊ में कांशीराम स्मारक गए थे और बसपा संस्थापक के साथ मायावती की प्रतिमा को देखकर दुखी थे। उन्होंने कहा, उन्होंने पार्टी में कब्जा किया है और इसे प्राइवेट लिमिटेड फर्म बना दिया है। यूपी चुनाव में, हम किसी को भी समर्थन देंगे जो बसपा को हरा सकता है। हम पंजाब में बसपा के खिलाफ भी प्रचार करेंगे, जहां वह अकाली दल के साथ गठबंधन में चुनाव लड़ रही है।

2022 मोदी सरकार की धोखाधड़ी के खिलाफ संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा (एसकेएम) के किसानों ने 26 नवंबर को न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (एमएसपी) पर कानून और अन्य वादों की याद दिलाते हुए देशभर में राजभवनों तक मेगा पदयात्रा का आयोजन किया। किसानों का कहना है कि केंद्र सरकार ने अपने वादे पूरे नहीं किए हैं। संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा के द्वारा जारी एक बयान के मुताबिक, 25 राज्यों की राजधानियों, 300 से ज्यादा जिला मुख्यालयों और कई तहसील मुख्यालयों पर विरोध प्रदर्शन किया गया। अनुमान है कि पूरे भारत में तीन हजार से अधिक विरोध प्रदर्शन हुए हैं। मजदूर, किसान, जन वरोधी भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाली केंद्र सरकार के खिलाफ अपना विरोध दर्ज कराने के लिए राजभवन चलो के आह्वान साथ लगभग 50 लाख से अधिक किसान सड़कों पर उतरे। मीडिया रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, लखनऊ, चंडीगढ़, पटना, कोलकाता, तिरुवनंतपुरम, चेन्नई, हैदराबाद, भोपाल, जयपुर और कई अन्य राज्यों की राजधानियों में किसानों का जमावड़ा देखा गया।

Among the Union Territories, Dadra and Nagar Haveli (27.36 percent), Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh (12.58 percent), Daman and Diu (6.82 percent) and Chandigarh (5.97 percent) are the poorest Union Territories in the country. 1.72 percent of the population of Puducherry is poor. Apart from this, Lakshadweep (1.82 percent), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (4.30 percent) and Delhi (4.79 percent) have performed better. Bihar has the highest number of malnourished people, followed by Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
