1936 भारतीय सिनेमा की बहुप्रतिभावान प्रसिद्ध अभिनेत्री और माॅडल वैजयंती माला का जन्म हुआ। 1936 में इसी दिन प्रसिद्ध भारतीय महिला क्रांतिकारी भीकाजी कामा (भीकाजी रुस्तम कामां) का निधन हुआ।

1951 भारत में निर्मित पहले विमान हिंदुस्तान ट्रेनर 2 ने पहली उड़ान भरी।
