0763 किंग कॉन्सटेंटाइन पांचवें की बीजेंटाइन सेना ने एंचियालस की लड़ाई में बुल्गारियाई सेना को हराया।

1294 स्विट्जरलैंड के बर्ने प्रांत से सभी यहूदियों को बाहर निकाल दिया गया।

1422 मिलान (अब इटली का हिस्सा) के ड्यूक और स्विस केंटन के बीच आर्बेडो का युद्ध हुआ।

1521 नोएन की लड़ाई में स्पेनिश सेना ने संयुक्त फ्रांसीसी और नवारेसी सेना को हराया।

1559 फ्रांसीसी सम्राट हेनरी द्वितीय गेब्रियल एक रोमांचक मुकाबले में कॉम्टे डी मोंटगोमरी से हार गये।

1598 स्पैनिश योद्धाओं ने कैस्टिलो सैन फेलिप डेल मोरो को सैन जुआन, प्यूर्तो रिको में पंद्रह दिनों तक घेरे रखने के बाद सर जॉर्ज क्लिफोर्ड, अर्ल ऑफ कंबरलैंड के नेतृत्व वाली अंग्रेजी सेना के सामने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया।

1755 फिलीपींस में सभी गैर कैथोलिक चीनी रेस्तरांओं को बंद करवा दिया गया।

1855 राजमहल हिल्स, संथाल-परगना, बिहार के संथाल आदिवासियों ने बंगाल के भोरनधेजी में सिंधु और कान्हू के नेतृत्व में करीब 50 हजार लोगों ने अंग्रेजों, राजस्व अधिकारियों, पुलिस, जमींदारों और साहूकारों द्वारा किये जा रहे अमानवीय व्यवहार के खिलाफ आंदोलन शुरू किया। इस आंदोलन के लोगों का उपर्युक्त शक्तियों बहुत बर्बर दमन किया। बाद में शहीदों की याद में संथाल हूल दिवस मनाया जाता है। सिद्धू और कान्हू को अगले ही महीने अंग्रेज सरकार ने फांसी के फंदे पर लटका दिया।

1859 फ्रांसीसी कलाबाज चार्ल्स ब्लोंडिन ने रस्सी के सहारे नियाग्रा फॉल्स को पार किया।

1860 चार्ल्स डार्विन के सिद्धांत ऑन ऑरिजिन ऑफ स्पीशीज के प्रकाशन के सात महीने बाद, कई प्रमुख ब्रिटिश वैज्ञानिकों और दार्शनिकों की ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी म्यूजियम ऑक्सफोर्ड, इंग्लैंड में विकास पर बहस शुरु हुई।

1864 अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति अब्राहम लिंकन ने कैलिफोर्निया राज्य को सार्वजनिक उपयोग, रिसॉर्ट एवं मनोरंजन उपभोग हेतु योसेमाइट घाटी प्रदान की।

1868 क्रिस्टोफर श्लेस को टाइपराइटर के आविष्कार के लिए पेटेंट प्रदान किया गया।

1870 अदा केपले अमेरिका में लॉ कॉलेज से ग्रेजुएट करने वाली पहली महिला बनीं।

1876 सर्बिया ने तुर्की के खिलाफ युद्ध की घोषणा की।

1882 अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जेम्स गारफील्ड के हत्यारे चार्ल्स जे. गुइटो को वाशिंगटन, डीसी में फांसी पर लटका दिया गया।

1886 महिलाओं के लिए रॉयल होलोवे कॉलेज लंदन के पास इंग्लैंड में महारानी विक्टोरिया ने समर्पित किया।

1888 फ्रेडरिक डगलस अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति चुनाव के लिए नामांकित होने वाले पहले अफ्रिकी-अमेरिकी बने।

1894 सोलबॉन पेरिस में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय ओलंपिक समिति की स्थापना हुई। इसी दिन लंदन में झूलते हुए टॉवर ब्रिज को यातायात के लिए खोला गया।

1900 अमेरिका के न्यू जर्सी के होबोकन में एक समुद्र घाट पर खड़ी तीन स्टीमशिप में भयंकर आग लग गई जिसमें 200 से अधिक कर्मचारी और यात्री मारे गए।

1903 प्रसिद्ध भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ तथा लोक सभा के सदस्य हुए मुकुट बिहारी लाल भार्गव का जन्म हुआ।

1905 जर्मनी में जन्में विश्व विख्यात वैज्ञानिक अल्बर्ट आइंस्टीन का लेख ऑन द इलेक्ट्रोडोडैमिक्स ऑफ मूविंग बॉडीज प्रकाशित हुआ जिसमें उन्होंने अपने विशिष्ट सापेक्षता के सिद्धांत का खुलासा किया।

1914 दक्षिण अफ्रीका में भारतीयों के अधिकारों के लिये आंदोलन करने के दौरान राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी को पहली बार गिरफ्तार किया गया।

1917 प्रसिद्ध भारतीय स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, राजनीतिज्ञ, उद्योगपति, शिक्षाविद और विचारक दादा भाई नौरोजी का निधन हुआ।

1921 स्वीडन में मौत की सजा खत्म की गई। इसी दिन प्रसिद्ध भारतीय हिंदी साहित्यकार एवं आलोचक रघुवंश का जन्म हुआ।

1928 हिंदी फिल्मों की प्रसिद्ध संगीतज्ञ जोड़ी कल्याणजी आनंदजी में से एक संगीतकार कल्याणजी का जन्म हुआ।

1933 फासीवाद के खिलाफ एंटवर्प में 50 हजार लोगों ने प्रदर्शन किया।

1934 प्रसिद्ध भारतीय वैज्ञानिक सी. एन. आर. राव का जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन जर्मन तानाशाह एडोल्फ हिटलर ने अपनी नेशनल सोशियालिस्ट पार्टी में विरोधियों को खत्म किया। विरोधी नेता अर्न्स्ट रोहम और अन्य राजनीतिक प्रतिद्वंद्वियों द लॉन्ग नाइफ्स के कम से कम 85 लोगों को मार डाला और फिर हिटलरशाही के अन्य जर्मन आलोचकों को प्रताड़ित किया जाने लगा।

1937 दुनिया का पहला आपातकालीन सहायता नंबर 999 लंदन में जारी किया गया।

1938 बच्चों का बहुत प्रिय कार्टून चरित्र सुपरमैन पहली बार कॉमिक्स (डीसी कॉमिक्स एक्शन सीरीज भाग-1) में नजर आया।

1943 जाने माने फिल्म और टेलीविजन पटकथाकार, निर्देशक सईद अख्तर मिर्जा का जन्म हुआ।

1947 भारत के विभाजन की घोषणा के बाद बंगाल और पंजाब के विभाजन के लिए बाउंडरी कमीशन के सदस्यों की घोषणा की गई।

1948 ब्रिटिश सेना की अंतिम टुकड़ी इजरायल छोड़ स्वदेश रवाना हुयी।

1953 जनसंघ के संस्थापक श्यामाप्रसाद मुखर्जी की कश्मीर में कैद के दौरान मौत हो गई।

1956 भारतीय पत्रकार और राजनेता हरिवंश नारायण सिंह का जन्म हुआ। यह अखबार प्रभात खबर के संपादक रहे। कभी समाजवादी रहे हरिवंश कुछ साल पहले भाजपा में शामिल हो गये, राज्य सभा के सदस्य बनाए गये और राज्यसभा के स्पीकर बन गये। सन 2020 में लाॅकडाउन के दौरान छल-कपट से किसान और खेती विरोधी 3 कानून इन्होंने ही पास कराए।

1960 अमेरिका ने क्यूबा से चीनी का आयात बंद करने का निर्णय लिया।

1962 रवांडा और बुरूंडी देश स्वतंत्र हुये।

1966 अमेरिका का पहला महिला संगठन नेशनल ऑर्गनाइदेशन फॉर वुमेन का गठन किया गया। इसी दिन अमेरिका में विश्व प्रसिद्ध बॉक्सर और अभिनेता माइक टाइसन का जन्म हुआ।

1969 श्रीलंका के प्रसिद्ध क्रिकेटर सनत जयसूर्या का जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन महाराष्ट्र की जानी मानी कांग्रेस नेत्री और सांसद सुप्रिया सुले का जन्म पुणे में हुआ।

1971 सोवियत सोयुज 11 अंतरिक्ष यान दुर्घटना का शिकार हुआ जिससे अंतरिक्ष यात्री व्लादिस्लाव वोलकोव, जॉर्जी डोब्रोवोलस्की और विक्टर पाटसेव मारे गये।

1973 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड दक्षिण भारतीय फिल्म अभिनेत्री सितारा का जन्म हुआ।

1974 अमेरिका के मैरीलैंड के बाल्टीमोर में नगरपालिका कर्मचारी बेहतर मजदूरी और बेहतर कार्य परिस्थितियों की मांग को लेकर हड़ताल पर चले गए।

1977 दक्षिण भारतीय सिनेमा की जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड अभिनेत्री और माॅडल सुरेखा वानी का जन्म विजयवाड़ा, आंध्र प्रदेश में हुआ।

1980 भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री श्रीमती इंदिरा गाँधी के बड़े पुत्र संजय गाँधी एक विमान दुर्घटना में मारे गए।

1985 दक्षिण भारतीय सिनेमा की लोकप्रिय अभिनेत्री और माॅडल प्रियंका नायर का जन्म वामनपुरम में हुआ। इसी दिन लेबनान में बंधक बनाए गए 39 अमेरिकी नागरिक गिरफ्तार किए गए। 

1986 मिजोरम भारत का राज्य बना। मिजोरम पूर्वोत्तर भारत के राज्यों में से एक है, जिसकी राजधानी आइजॉल है। मिजोरम का अर्थ है पहाड़ी लोगों की भूमि। यहां दो जनजातीय लोगों का बाहुल्य है।

1987 रॉयल कनाडाई टकसाल ने कनाडाई एक-डॉलर की मुद्रा प्रस्तुत की जिसे लूनी कहा जाता है।

1990 पूर्वी जर्मनी और पश्चिमी जर्मनी ने अपनी अर्थव्यवस्थाओं का विलय कर दिया। जर्मन पुनर्मूल्यांकन में जर्मन डेमोक्रेटिक रिपब्लिक जर्मनी के पुनः संयुक्त देश बनाने के लिए जर्मनी के संघीय गणराज्य में शामिल हो गया, और जब बर्लिन स्थित विभाजक दीवार गिरा दी गई। एकीकरण प्रक्रिया के अंत को आधिकारिक तौर पर जर्मन एकता के रूप में जाना जाता है।

1994 फ्रांस के तोलूज में ए-330 एयरबस विमान के दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो जाने से सात लोग मारे गये।

1997 बाॅलीवुड की खूबसूरत, बोल्ड, जानी मानी फिल्म और टेलीविजन अभिनेत्री तथा माॅडल अविका गोर का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ। इसी दिन हांगकांग से ब्रिटिश सरकार ने अपने अधिकार खत्म किये और उसे चीन के नियंत्रण में सौंप दिया।

1999 आस्ट्रेलियाई उप-प्रधानमंत्री तथा नेशनल पार्टी के नेता टीम फिशर ने इस्तीफा दिया।

2000 अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति बिल क्लिंटन ने इलेक्ट्रॉनिक हस्ताक्षर को कानूनी मान्यता दी। इसी दिन लद्दाख स्वायत्त पहाड़ी विकास परिषद जम्मू-कश्मीर से अलग होने के लिए एक प्रस्ताव अपनाया गया। लद्दाख स्वायत्त पहाड़ी विकास परिषद अधिनियम 1995 के तहत परिषद बनाया गया था, लेह जिले को जम्मू और कश्मीर के बाकी हिस्सों के साथ धार्मिक और सांस्कृतिक मतभेदों के कारण एक नया भारतीय केंद्र शासित प्रदेश बनाने की मांग उठने के बाद यह अधिनियम लागू किया गया।

2002 ब्राजील ने जर्मनी को 2-0 से हराकर फुटबाल के विश्व कप पर कब्जा किया।

2003 चार बार की आस्कर पुरस्कार विजेता अभिनेत्री कैथरीन हेपबर्न का निधन हुआ।

2005 ब्राजील ने कनफेडरेशन फुटबाल कप जीता। इसी दिन स्पेन सरकार ने समलैंगिक विवाह को कानूनी मान्यता दी।

2006 फुटबाल विश्वकप में जर्मनी ने अर्जेन्टीना को हराया।

2007 भारतीय जनता पार्टी के उपाध्यक्ष व तेरहवीं लोक सभा के सदस्य रहे साहिब सिंह वर्मा का निधन हुआ। इसी दिन संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने आम सहमति से शांति रक्षण विभाग के बंटवारे का निर्णय किया।

2008 रविकांत, उमा शंकर चैधरी व विमल चंद्र पांडेय को संयुक्त रूप से भारतीय ज्ञानपीठ का नवलेखन पुरस्कार प्रदान किया गया। इसी दिन भारतीय पत्रकार अनीसुद्दीन अजीज को इंटरनेशनल एसोसियेशन आफ बुक कीपर्स (आईएबी) के न्यू बिजनेस आफ द ईयर अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया। इसी दिन पाकिस्तान सरकार ने कबाइली खैबर दर्रा क्षेत्र में दहशत फैला रहे तीन आतंकी गुटों पर प्रतिबंध लगाया। राबर्ट मुगावे ने 2008 में इसी दिन जिम्बाव्वे के राष्ट्रपति के रूप में शपथ ली।

2009 यमन का विमान 626 हिंद महासागर में दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हुआ जिसमें एक स्कूली छात्रा बाहिया बकरी जीवित बची बाकी 152 लोग मारे गए।

2010 प्रथम बार अमेरिका मेें विश्व सोशल मीडिया दिवस आयोजित किया गया। न्यूयार्क की मीडिया कंपनी माशाबल ने इसका आयोजन किया। उस समय फेसबुक क्रांति आ चुकी थी और इसके अलावा कई वैश्विक सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफार्म्स चलन में आ चुके थे। इसके महत्व और बढ़ते उपयोग को सम्मान देने, इस पर और बेहतर तरीके से विविध कार्य करने आदि के लिए विश्व सोशल मीडिया दिवस आयोजन की जरूरत महसूस की गई और 30 जून इसके लिए तय किया गया।

2012 मोहम्मद मुर्सी मिस्र के राष्ट्रपति चुने गये।

2014 फ्रांस ने नाइजीरिया को फीफा विश्व कप में 2-0 से हराया।

2015 एक हरक्यूलिस सी-130 सैन्य विमान इंडोनेशिया के मेदान में एक आवासीय क्षेत्र में दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया जिससे विमान में सवार 113 और दो स्थानीय नागरिक मारे गये और कई घायल हुए।

2017 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्षुद्रग्रह दिवस पहली बार आयोजित किया गया। दिसंबर 2016 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने संकल्प ए/आरईएस/71/90 अपनाया, जिसमें 30 जून को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्षुद्रग्रह दिवस घोषित किया गया ताकि प्रत्येक वर्ष 30 जून को साइबेरिया, रूसी संघ पर तुंगुस्का प्रभाव की सालगिरह को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मनाया जा सके। साथ ही 1908 और क्षुद्रग्रह प्रभाव खतरों के बारे में सार्वजनिक जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए विचार-विमर्श, सहयोग के आदान-प्रदान पर आयोजन किए जा सकें।

2018 संयुक्त राष्ट्र की एजेंसी यूनेस्को ने मुंबई के विक्टोरिया, गोथिक और आर्ट डेको शैलियों के भवनों को विश्व धरोहर स्थल घोषित किया। इसी दिन अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संसदवाद दिवस की स्थापना 2018 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के प्रस्ताव के माध्यम से की गई थी। संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने अपने संकल्प ए/आरईएस/72/278 में राष्ट्रीय योजनाओं और रणनीतियों में तथा राष्ट्रीय और वैश्विक स्तर पर अधिक पारदर्शिता और जवाबदेही सुनिश्चित करने में संसदों की भूमिका को मान्यता देते हुए अंतरराष्ट्रीय संसदवाद दिवस का आयोजन किया।

2019 डोनाल्ड ट्रंप डेमोक्रेटिक पीपुल्स रिपब्लिक ऑफ कोरिया (उत्तर कोरिया) का दौरा करने वाले पहले अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बने।

2021 टाइगर फायर ब्लैक कैन्यन सिटी, एरिजोना के पास जबरदस्त ज्वालामुखी विस्फोट हुआ। इसने 16,278 एकड़ (6,587 हेक्टेयर) भूमि को जला डाला।

2022 पचपन वर्षीय विख्यात अमेरिकी पॉप गायक आर केली को महिलाओं और बच्चों के यौन शोषण के मामले दोषी ठहराए जाने के बाद 30 साल कैद की सजा सुनाई गई। अमेरिकी डिस्ट्रिक्ट कोर्ट के न्यायाधीश एन डोनेली ने फैसला सुनाते वक्त कहा कि आर केली ने सेक्स का उपयोग अपने एक हथियार के रूप में किया, उन्होंने पीड़ितों के साथ ऐसा बर्ताव किया जो कहने योग्य नहीं है और ये पीड़ित बाद में यौन संबंधित संक्रमित बीमारियों की चपेट में भी आए।

1521 Spanish army defeats combined French and Navarrese forces at the Battle of Noen.

1559 French Emperor Henry II Gabriel is defeated by the Comte de Montgomery in a thrilling contest.

1598 Spanish warriors surrender Castillo San Felipe del Morro in San Juan, Puerto Rico to English forces led by Sir George Clifford, Earl of Cumberland, after besieging them for fifteen days.

1755 All non-Catholic Chinese restaurants in the Philippines are closed.

1855 Santhal tribals of Rajmahal Hills, Santhal-Parganas, Bihar, about 50 thousand people under the leadership of Sindhu and Kanhu at Bhorandheji, Bengal, started a movement against the inhuman treatment being done by the British, revenue officials, police, landlords and moneylenders. The above mentioned forces very brutally suppressed the people of this movement. Later Santhal Hul Day is celebrated in the memory of the martyrs. Sidhu and Kanhu were hanged the very next month by the British government.
