2007 जानी मानी टेलीविजन अभिनेत्री तथा माॅडल रुहानिका धवन का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ। इसी दिन शेर बहादुर देउबा के नेतृत्व वाली नेपाली कांग्रेस डेमोक्रेटिक पार्टी का कांग्रेस में विलय हुआ।

2011 इराक के शिया मुसलमानों के पवित्र धार्मिक स्थल कर्बला के पासपोर्ट कार्यालय के बाहर हुए क्रमिक बम धमाकों में दस लोगों की मौत हो गई तथा लगभग सौ लोग घायल हो गए। नेपाल में 2011 में इसी दिन एक निजी एयलाइन के विमान की दुर्घटना में चालक दल समेत सभी 19 लोगों की मृत्यु हो गई। 2011 में इसी दिन सऊदी अरब के शासक अब्दुल्ला ने घोषणा की कि महिलाओं को नगर पालिका चुनावों में वोट देने और कार चलाने का अधिकार दिया जाएगा।
