1908 खुदीराम बोस और प्रफुल्ल चाकी ने मुजफ्फरपुर में किंग्सफोर्ड के मजिस्ट्रेट की हत्या करने के लिए बम फेंका। जिसमें दो सामान्य लोग मारे गये।

1909 महाराष्ट्र के प्रमुख संत तुडकोजी महाराज यानी मानिकदेव बंदूजी इंगले का जन्म अमरावती में हुआ।

1910 प्रख्यात तेलुगू कवि और गीतकार श्री श्री का जन्म विसाखापट्टनम में हुआ।

1927 सर्वोच्च न्यायालय की पूर्व न्यायाधीश फातिमा बीबी का जन्म हुआ।

1936 महात्मा गांधी ने अपना आवास बदला और वर्धा सेवाग्राम आश्रम रहने लगे।

1944 प्रख्यात भरनाट्यम नृत्यांगना और भारतीय जनता पार्टी की नामित राज्य सभा सदस्य सोनल मान सिंह का जन्म हुआ।

1945 जर्मनी में नात्सी तानाशाह हिटलर ने कई साल पहले जर्मनो को यहूदियों के खिलाफ भड़काया और फिर नाजी कैंपों में करीब 60 लाख यहूदियों और 50 लाख जर्मनों की हत्या कर दी गई। इसके अलावा भारी पैमाने पर तबाही की गई। हिटलर की नीतियों से करीब सवा करोड़ लोग मरे और संपत्ति का भारी नुकसान हुआ। 29 अप्रैल को आधी रात के बाद हिटलर ने बंकर में एक छोटे समारोह में अपनी प्रेमिका इवा ब्राउन (पूर्व माॅडल, फोटोग्राफर इवा अन्ना पाउला) से शादी की। फिर अपनी अंतिम वसीयत तैयार की जिसे उन्होंने अपनी निजी सचिव को सौंपा और सोने चले गए। इससे पहले हिटलर के मित्र इटली के तानाशाह बेनिटो मुसोलिनी को उनकी प्रेमिका क्लेरिटा पेटाची और उनके 16 सहयोगियो को 28 अप्रैल 1945 को विद्रोहियों ने गोलियों से खुलेआम छलनी कर दिया। मुसोलिनी बेहद बर्बर था, उसने सरे आम हजारों लोगों को मरवाया था। मुसोलिनी के मारे जाने पर उसके मरे हुए शरीर में मुसोलिनी प्रताड़ित लोगों ने गोलियां मारीं, एक महिला ने उसके मुहं में पेशाब किया, मुंह में मरा चूहा डाला, डंडे मारे और लाशें उल्टी लटकाकर रखा गया। दिन भर मुसोलिनी से गुस्साए या चोट खाए लोगों के परिवार इनके शवों के साथ अपना गुस्सा निकालते रहे। माना जाता है कि इतनी बेइज्जती से बचने के लिए एडोल्फ हिटलर ने आत्महत्या करने का मन बनाया। उसने अपने शव रूसी सोवियत सेना या विरोधियों के हाथ न लगने देने के बारे में सोचा। हिटलर ने अपने कुत्ते पर सायनाइड की गोलियों को आजमाया। 30 अप्रैल को लंच के बाद हिटलर और ब्राउन ने बंकर में बाकी बचे सैनिकों को अलविदा कहा। फिर वे अपनी स्टडी रूम में आ गए। जब दोनों ने आत्महत्या की तो कमरे में कोई मौजूद नहीं था। बंकर में मौजूद अन्य सैनिकों का कहना था कि 3.30 बजे के करीब उनको गोली चलने की जोरदार आवाज आई। थोड़ी देर बाद कमरे में बादाम के जलने की गंध फैल गई जो सायनाइड की गंध थी। बाद में पता चला कि हिटलर ने खुद को गोली मार ली थी जबकि ब्राउन ने सायनाइड खा लिया था।

हिटलर और ब्राउन के शव को बंकर के बाकी लोग एक बागीचे में ले गए। वहां उस पर पेट्रोल डालकर जलाने की कोशिश की। उनके शवों को जलाने की पहली कोशिश नाकाम हो गई। फिर एक सैनिक बंकर से पेपर ले आया और शव को आग लगाने के लिए उसका इस्तेमाल किया। फिर भी शव पूरी तरह जला नहीं था। फिर वे लोग उनके शव को बमों से बने एक गड्ढे में खींचकर ले गए। अगले दिन रेडियो से जर्मनी के ग्रैंड एडमिरल कार्ल डोनिट्ज ने हिटलर की मौत की घोषणा की। सोवियत नेता जोसफ स्टालिन को जब हिटलर की आत्महत्या के बारे में पता चला तो उन्होंने पहले पुष्टि करनी चाही। बाद में सोवियत रेड आर्मी की इंटेलिजेंस एजेंसी ने हिटलर और ब्राउन के शव बरामद किये। हिटलर का अंत सिर्फ एक व्यक्ति का अंत नहीं था बल्कि आतंक के एक अध्याय का अंत था। हिटलर के मरने के बाद 8 मई, 1945 को जर्मनी ने सरेंडर कर दिया। इसके लिए जर्मनी की ओर से किसी तरह की शर्त नहीं रखी गई थी।

1949 संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ के नौवें यानी वर्तमान महासचिव एंटोनियो गुटेरेस का जन्म हुआ।

1956 अमेरिका के पूर्व उप राष्ट्रपति और सीनेटर एल्बेन बार्कली की वर्जीनिया में एक भाषण के दौरान मौत हुई। 1956 में इसी दिन कर्नाटक की मशहूर शास्त्रीय संगीतज्ञ, गायिका सुधा रगुनाथ्न का जनम बंगलौर में हुआ।

In 1945 Germany, Nazi dictator Hitler incited Germans against the Jews many years ago and then about 6 million Jews and 5 million Germans were killed in Nazi camps. Apart from this, destruction was done on a large scale. About 1.25 billion people died due to Hitler's policies and there was huge loss of property. Shortly after midnight on 29 April, Hitler married his girlfriend Eva Braun (former model, photographer Eva Anna Paula) in a small ceremony in the bunker. Then prepared his last will which he handed over to his private secretary and went to sleep. Earlier, on April 28, 1945, Hitler's friend, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, along with his girlfriend Clarita Petacchi and 16 of his associates, were openly gunned down by the rebels. Mussolini was very barbaric, he had killed thousands of common people. When Mussolini was killed, Mussolini's tortured people shot bullets in his dead body, a woman urinated in his mouth, put a dead rat in his mouth, were beaten with sticks and the dead bodies were hanged upside down. Throughout the day the families of those who were angry or hurt by Mussolini vented their anger with their dead bodies. It is believed that to avoid such humiliation, Adolf Hitler made up his mind to commit suicide. He thought of not letting his dead body fall into the hands of the Russian Soviet Army or the opponents. Hitler tried cyanide pills on his dog. After lunch on 30 April, Hitler and Braun said goodbye to the remaining soldiers in the bunker. Then he came to his study room. No one was present in the room when both committed suicide. Other soldiers present in the bunker said that around 3.30 pm, they heard a loud sound of firing. After a while the smell of burning almonds spread in the room which was the smell of cyanide. It was later revealed that Hitler had shot himself while Braun had ingested cyanide.

The bodies of Hitler and Brown were taken by the rest of the bunker to a garden. There they tried to burn it by pouring petrol on it. The first attempt to burn their dead bodies failed. Then a soldier brought paper from the bunker and used it to set the body on fire. Still the body was not completely burnt. Then they dragged his body to a pit made of bombs. The next day, German Grand Admiral Karl Dönitz announced Hitler's death by radio. When Soviet leader Joseph Stalin came to know about Hitler's suicide, he first wanted to confirm. Hitler and Braun's bodies were later recovered by the intelligence agency of the Soviet Red Army. The end of Hitler was not just the end of a man but the end of a chapter of terror. After Hitler's death, Germany surrendered on May 8, 1945. For this, no condition was laid by Germany.
