1968 सोवियत विमान चालक और अंतरिक्षयात्री यूरी गागरीन का निधन हुआ।

1971 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड फिल्म अभिनेत्री, माॅडल और फिल्म निर्माता-निर्देशक जोनालागड्डा राधिका राव का जन्म हुआ।

1977 टेनेरिफ हवाईअड्डा दुर्घटना में दो बोइंग 747 विमान कैनरी द्वीप समूह में कोहरे वाले रनवे पर टकरा गए, जिसमें 583 (केएलएम पर सभी 248 और पैन एम पर 335) मारे गए। पैन एम उड़ान में इकसठ लोग जीवित बचे। यह इतिहास की सबसे घातक विमानन दुर्घटना है। इसी दिन 1977 में यूरोपियन फाइटर एअरक्राफ्ट यूरोफाइटर ने पहली उड़ान भरी।

1980 जाने माने भारतीय पंजाबी, हिंदी अभिनेता एवं गीतकार दक्ष अजीत सिंह का जन्म कुरुक्षेत्र में हुआ।

1981 पोलैंड में सॉलिडैरिटी आंदोलन ने एक चेतावनी हड़ताल का आयोजन किया, पूर्वी ब्लॉक के इतिहास में सबसे बड़ी हड़ताल, जिसमें कम से कम 12 मिलियन लोगों ने चार घंटे तक अपनी नौकरी ड्यूटी से कार्यबहिष्कार किया।

1982 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड फिल्म अभिनेत्री एवं गायिका अर्पिता मुखर्जी का जन्म दिल्ली में हुआ। इसी दिन ए.एफ.एम.ए.चैधरी बांग्लादेश के राष्ट्रपति नियुक्त किए गए। इसी दिन जॉन हैनकॉक सेंटर और विलिस टॉवर के डिजाइन प्रसिद्ध बांग्लादेशी-अमेरिकी इंजीनियर और वास्तुकार फजलुर खान का निधन हुआ।

1989 अंतरिक्ष में अमेरिका के मिसाइल रोधी उपग्रह का परीक्षण विफल हुआ।

1990 बरोधा वी के नाम से विख्यात भारतीय रैपर, हिप-होप कलाकार, गीतकार, संगीतकार विघनेश शिवानंद का जन्म कांचीपुरम में हुआ।

1993 जियांग जेमिन यांग शांगकुन के पीपुल्स रिपब्लिक ऑफ चाइना के चुनाव में राष्ट्रपति बनने में सफल हुए।

1995 बंग्लादेश के प्रसिद्ध फुटबाल खिलाड़ी सोहेल राणा का जन्म हुआ।

1996 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड बाॅलीवुड फिल्म एवं टेलीविजन अभिनेत्री तथा माॅडल कांची सिंह का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ। इसी दिन जानी मानी भारतीय अंग्रेजी लेखिका एवं मोटीवेशनल स्पीकर आयशा चौधरी का जन्म दिल्ली में हुआ।

1998 अमेरिकी खाद्य एवं औषधि प्रशासन ने स्तंभन दोष के इलाज के लिए वियाग्रा को मंजूरी दी, यह संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में इस स्थिति के लिए अनुमोदित होने वाली पहली गोली थी।

1999 कोसोवो युद्ध में एक अमेरिकी लॉकहीड एफ-117ए नाइटहॉक को यूगोस्लाव आर्मी एसएएम ने मार गिराया। यह युद्ध में हारने वाला पहला और एकमात्र नाइटहॉक था।

1999 पहला मैक्रो वायरस मेलिसा की सूचना दी गई।

2000 हकीकत, हंसते जख्म और हीर रांझा फिल्म से चर्चा में आई भारतीय हिंदी सिने अभिनेत्री और प्रिया राजवंश का संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में निधन हुआ। कहा जाता है कि संपत्ति के लिए उनकी हत्या की गई।

2003 रूस ने घातक टोपोल आर एस-12 एम बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल का परीक्षण किया।

2006 जाने माने कश्मीरी नेता यासीन मलिक ने कश्मीर में जनमत संग्रह कराए जाने की मांग की।

2008 भारत सरकार ने अल्पसंख्यक बहुल 90 जिलों में आधारभूत ढ़ाचे के विकास और जीवन स्तर में व्यापक सुधार के लिए 3,780 करोड़ रुपये खर्च करने को स्वीकृति दी। इसी दिन उत्तर प्रदेश संगठित अपराध नियंत्रण विधेयक यूपीकोका को राज्यपाल टीवी राजेश्वर ने मंजूरी दी। इसी दिन अंतरिक्ष यान एंडेवर पृथ्वी पर सफलतापूर्वक सुरक्षित लौटा। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्हिस्की दिवस की शुरुआत 2009 में उत्तरी नीदरलैंड में व्हिस्की दिवस महोत्सव में कई व्हिस्की लेखकों के सहयोग से की गई। यह कार्यक्रम ब्रिटिश लेखक माइकल जैक्सन के सम्मान में बनाया गया था और जैक्सन के जन्मदिन पर मनाया जाता है। पेय के प्यार के साथ-साथ माइकल के जीवन का जश्न मनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है। माइकल जेम्स जैक्सन प्रसिद्ध अंग्रेजी लेखक और पत्रकार थे। वह बियर और व्हिस्की के बारे में कई प्रभावशाली पुस्तकों के लेखक थे। अनेक ब्रॉडशीट, द इंडिपेंडेंट और द ऑब्जर्वर में उनका नियमित योगदान था। जैक्सन की किताबों की दुनिया भर में तीन मिलियन से अधिक प्रतियां बिक चुकी हैं और 18 से अधिक भाषाओं में उनका अनुवाद किया गया है। उनका जन्म 27 मार्च 1942 को वेदरबी, यूनाइटेड किंगडम और निधन 30 अगस्त 2007 को लंदन, यूनाइटेड किंगडम में हुआ। व्हिस्की और बीयर इत्यादि पर उनके विपुल लेखन के कारण माइकल जैक्सन को किंग आफ द बीयर राइटर्स और बीयर हंटर भी कहा गया।

2010 अमेरिकी गायक जॉनी मेस्त्रो का निधन।

2013 दक्षिण अफ्रीका में ब्रिक्स राष्ट्रों (ब्राजील, रूस, भारत, चीन और दक्षिण अफ्रीका) ने 4.5 ट्रिलियन डॉलर के इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर प्रोग्राम के लिए डेवलपमेंट बैंक बनाने पर सहमति दी। यह वर्ल्ड बैंक को चुनौती थी, जिस पर पश्चिमी देशों के पक्ष में काम करने का आरोप लगता रहा है।

2014 पोप फ्रांसिस से मिलने के लिए राष्ट्रपति ओबामा वेटिकन गए। इसी दिन 2014 में डॉक्टरों ने सफलतापूर्वक एक 3 डी-मुद्रित खोपड़ी को असली खोपड़ी को बदल दिया। डच सिटी में यूट्रेक्ट के डॉक्टरों ने घोषणा की कि एक ऑपरेशन में तीन महीने पहले महिला की असली खोपड़ी के हिस्से को बदलने के लिए 3 डी-मुद्रित प्लास्टिक की खोपड़ी का सफलतापूर्वक उपयोग किया गया। 2014 में इसी दिन फिलीपींस ने सबसे बड़े मुस्लिम विद्रोही समूह मोरो इस्लामिक लिबरेशन फ्रंट के साथ दशकों के संघर्ष को समाप्त करते हुए शांति समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए।

2015 अल-शबाब आतंकवादियों ने मोगादिशू के एक होटल पर हमला किया और अस्थायी रूप से कब्जा कर लिया, जिसमें कम से कम 20 लोग मारे गए।

2016 लाहौर के गुलशन-ए-इकबाल पार्क में एक आत्मघाती विस्फोट में 70 से अधिक लोगों की जान चली गई और लगभग 300 लोग घायल हो गए। बमबारी का निशाना ईस्टर मना रहे ईसाई थे।

2019 भारत ने अपनी एंटी-सैटेलाइट मिसाइल का इस्तेमाल कर अपना ही सैटेलाइट मार गिराया। सरकार ने कहा कि स्पेस में भारतीय संपत्तियों को विदेशी हमलों से बचाने का यह परीक्षण था। अमेरिका ने पहली बार सन 1959 में ऐसा एंटी-सैटेलाइट टेस्ट किया था, तब सैटेलाइट दुर्लभ और नए थे।

2020 उत्तरी मैसेडोनिया नाटो का 30वां सदस्य बना।

2022 बहुजन समाज पार्टी की मुखिया मायावती ने राष्ट्रपति बनने की अटकलों पर विराम लगाते हुए कहा कि वह किसी भी पार्टी की ओर से मिले राष्ट्रपति पद के प्रस्ताव को कभी स्वीकार नहीं करेंगी। मायावती ंने आरोप लगाया कि भाजपा और आरएसएस ने उनके समर्थकों को गुमराह करने के लिए झूठा प्रचार किया था कि अगर चुनाव में भाजपा को जीतने दिया गया, तो उनकी बहन जी को राष्ट्रपति बनाया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा, बहुत पहले ही मान्यवर कांशीराम ने यह प्रस्ताव ठुकरा दिया था। मैं उनके पदचिह्नों पर चलने वाली उनकी मजबूत शिष्या हूं। 2022 में इसी दिन मैक्सिको के पश्चिमी राज्य मिचोआकेन में जिनापेकुआरो के निकट मुर्गा लड़ाई के कार्यक्रम में बंदूकधारियों के हमले में 20 लोगों की मौत हो गई और करीब एक दर्जन अन्य लोग घायल हो गए। जिनापेकुआरो शहर के निकट रविवार देर रात हुए इस हमले में मारे गए लोगों में 3 महिलाएं भी शामिल हैं। अभियोजकों ने बताया कि हमलावरों ने हमले की स्पष्ट रूप से पहले से योजना बनाई थी और वे नाश्ता बनाने वाली एक कंपनी के चुराए गए ट्रक में सवार होकर परिसर में घुसे। ट्रक से कई सशस्त्र हमलावर निकले और ‘उसी समय इमारत के बाहर खड़ी एक बस को अवरोधक के रूप में इस्तेमाल किया गया, ताकि लोग बच कर नहीं निकल पाएं या मदद न मांग सकें। उन्होंने लोगों पर बंदूकों से गोलियों की ताबड़तोड़ बौछार कर दी। इलाके में मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी करने वाले गिरोहों और अन्य आपराधिक गिरोहों के बीच लड़ाई चलती रहती है। इस बात का संकेत है कि आपराधिक समूहों के बीच झगड़े के कारण यह हमला किया गया। इसी दिन कांग्रेस नेता संजय निरूपम और पवन खेड़ा ने एमटेक कंपनी पर करोड़ों रुपये के घोटाले करने का बड़ा आरोप लगाया। संजय निरूपम ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में एनडीए की सरकार ने हमेशा दावा किया है कि भ्रष्टाचार को किसी भी हाल में वो बर्दाश्त नहीं करेंगे, लेकिन भ्रष्टाचार हो रहा है। कांग्रेस नेताओं ने भ्रष्टाचार को लेकर सरकार को घेरा, तो वहीं घोटाले का खुलासा करते हुए कहा, एमटेक ग्रुप ऑफ कंपनी ने हिंदुस्तान के सरकारी बैंकों से लगभग 25 हजार करोड़ का कर्ज लिया और पूरा कर्जा डुबा दिया और आखिर में डिफॉल्टर घोषित करके बाद में वो इनसॉल्वेंसी केस में वो शामिल हो जाते हैं। कांग्रेस के अनुसार, एमटेक एक ऑटो पार्ट बनाने वाली कंपनी है। दिल्ली, चंडीगढ़, नॉर्थ की कंपनी है, जिसका एक बड़ा अच्छा ग्लोबल प्रेजेंस भी रहा है। इस कंपनी का एक बड़ा फेमस ब्रांड है इसी ग्रुप का, जिसको आप सब लोग जानते हैं, बरिस्ता कॉफी। इस घोटाले में एनसीएलटी, रेजोल्यूशन प्रोफेशनल और जो कर्ज देने वाली कंपनियां शामिल हैं। संजय निरूपम ने कहा, 2016 में इनसॉल्वेंसी एंड बैंकरप्सी कोड एक ऐसा नया कानून बनता है, जिसके तहत जितनी भी कॉर्पोरेट कंपनी हैं, उनको एक तरीके से छूट दी गई या उनको एक लीगल रूट दिया गया कि अगर आप अपनी कंपनी नहीं चला पा रहे हैं और डिफॉल्ट करे जा रहे हैं, तो आप एनसीएलटी में जा सकते हैं और लिक्विडेशन में जाने के बाद एक पूरा सिस्टम बनाया। इंसोल्वेंसी एंड बैंकरप्सी बोर्ड ऑफ इंडिया ने कुछ समय पहले बताया था कि 4946 कंपनियां पिछले 5 साल में दिवालिया हुई हैं, इसमें 457 कंपनियों के केस सॉल्व किए गए हैं और इन 457 कंपनियों ने बैंकों से 8 लाख 30 हजार करोड़ कर्ज लिया था, इसमें 6 लाख करोड़ रुपये बैंकों के डूब गए। कांग्रेस नेताओं ने कहा, हमारा सवाल यह है कि इन प्रमोटर को आखिर क्यों बचाया जा रहा है? सरकार का इनसे क्या लेना-देना है? अगर फाइनेंस मिनिस्टर कहती हैं कि लोन हमारे जमाने में नहीं यूपीए के जमाने में दिया गया था तो लोन डुबोने का काम जो चल रहा है, वो एनडीए के जमाने में चल रहा है। संजय निरूपम के मुताबिक, हाल ही में आरबीआई ने डर्टी डजन की लिस्ट जारी की, इसमें 12 कंपनियों के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए कहा गया कि इन कंपनियों पर बैंकों के 2.5 लाख करोड़ रुपये डूब गए, कांग्रेस ने मांग की है यदि बड़ी कंपनी कर्जा ले रही है और वह दिवालिया घोषित कर रही हैं तो इन पर कार्रवाई क्यों नहीं की जा रही है। इन पर कार्यवाही होनी चाहिए। मालूम हो कि पिछले दिनों ही गुजरात एबीजी शिपयार्ड, ऋषि कमलेश अग्रवाल का 2300 करोड़ का घोटाला सामने आया था। लोग लगातार तंज कस रहे हैं कि विजय माल्या 9000 करोड़ फिर नीरव मोदी, मेहुल चोकसी 13 हजार करोड़ और फिर एबीजी शिपयार्ड 23000 करोड़ और अब एमटेक का 25000 करोड़ का घोटाला। इस बीच तमाम अन्य घोटाले सामने आए हैं और 2014 में जो एनपीए करीब ढाई लाख करोड़ था वह 2022 आते-आते करीब 25 लाख करोड़ हो गया जिसमें से करीब 8 लाख करोड़ रुपये सरकार बैंक के खातों से हटा चुकी है। इस तरह सबसे ज्यादा विकास घोटालों का हो रहा है।

2023 टेनेसी के नैशविले में कॉवेनेंट स्कूल में सामूहिक गोलीबारी में अपराधी सहित सात लोग मारे गए। इसी दिन सीपीआई (एम) नेता सीताराम येचुरी ने राज्यों में होने वाले चुनाव को लेकर कहा कि राज्य की स्थितियों के आधार पर चुनावी सहयोग क्षेत्रीय स्तर पर होगा। येचुरी ने कहा कि केरल में मुकाबला एलडीएफ और यूडीएफ के बीच होगा। सीपीआई (एम) नेता कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी की लोकसभा सदस्यता रद्द किए जाने को लेकर कहा कि हम इसकी निंदा करते हैं। जिस जल्दबाजी से उन्हें सांसद के तौर पर अयोग्य ठहराया गया, वह भाजपा की असहिष्णुता का खुला प्रदर्शन है और यह केंद्र में सत्तारूढ़ बीजेपी की निरंकुशता को जाहिर करता है। यह विपक्षी नेताओं को निशाना बनाने के लिए केंद्रीय एजेंसियों का बेशर्म दुरुपयोग है। कई राज्यों में राजनीतिक विरोधियों के खिलाफ मामूली आधार पर मामले दर्ज किए हैं। इसमें आप नेता और दिल्ली के पूर्व उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी की गई। आरजेडी नेताओं लालू प्रसाद यादव, तेजस्वी यादव, के कविता (बीआरएस) और कई अन्य नेताओं पर ईडी/सीबीआई की छापेमारी की गई। येचुरी ने  केंद्र सरकार पर क्रोनी पूंजीपतियों के साथ सांठगांठ का आरोप लगाते हुए उन्होंने कहा, अडानी मामले की तुरंत जेपीसी से जांच कराई जाए। जांच की घोषणा में देरी इस बात का संकेत है कि सरकार के पास छिपाने के लिए कुछ है। उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी पर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि मोदी सरकार जनता का पैसा व्यवसायी गौतम अडानी जैसे अपने मित्रों को दे रही है। सरकार इसका जवाब नहीं देना चाहती कि सारी पूंजी, सारे बंदरगाह, हवाई अड्डे, खान और खनन जैसी अन्य बुनियादी सुविधाएं एक ही व्यक्ति को कैसे दे दी गईं? महामारी के दौरान लोगों की जान चली गई, अर्थव्यवस्था खराब हो गई, लेकिन मोदी जी के दोस्त ने जबरदस्त ग्रोथ देखी, सबसे अमीर व्यक्ति बन गए? यह जनता के पैसे से संभव हुआ है। यह लूट और गबन है। मोदी सरकार जवाब दें या इस्तीफा दें। येचुरी ने 25 और 26 मार्च को दिल्ली में आयोजित पोलित ब्यूरो की बैठक में लिए गए फैसलों के बारे में कहा, बीजेपी सरकार की ओर से कर्नाटक में मुसलमानों के लिए कोटा खत्म किया गया। यह सांप्रदायिक ध्रुवीकरण को आगे बढ़ाने का प्रयास है। पोलित ब्यूरो ने अल्पसंख्यक समुदायों के सदस्यों के खिलाफ ऑर्गेस्ट्रेटेड हमलों की बढ़ती घटनाओं पर गंभीर चिंता जताई है। गो-रक्षकों द्वारा मुस्लिम युवकों की हत्याओं का सिलसिला बदस्तूर जारी है। कई राज्यों से चर्चों और ईसाई समुदाय के सदस्यों, विशेष रूप से ईसाई आदिवासियों पर हमलों की सूचना मिली है। विशेष रूप से चुनावी राज्यों में सांप्रदायिक ध्रुवीकरण को बढ़ाने के लिए कई नए झूठे आख्यान और इतिहास रचे जा रहे हैं।
