बोस्ट्रान युग (बोस्ट्रा का युग, अरब युग) 22 मार्च 106 ईस्वी को कैलेंडर युग प्रारंभ हुआ। यह अरब पेट्रिया के रोमन प्रांत का आधिकारिक युग था, जिसे नबातियन साम्राज्य के रोमन कब्जे के बाद शासकों ने वर्षों द्वारा डेटिंग के लिए किया गया। इसका नाम बोस्त्रा शहर के नाम पर रखा गया है, जो प्रांत में तैनात छठी सेना का मुख्यालय था।

238 अधिक उम्र और अशक्त होने के कारण सम्राट गॉर्डियन प्रथम के बेटे गॉर्डन द्वितीय को भी गॉर्डियन प्रथम के साथ रोमन सम्राट घोषित किया गया।

752 स्टीफेन द्वितीय 23वें कैथोलिक पोप चुने गये।

1508 आरागॉन के फर्डिनेंड द्वितीय ने अमेरिगो वेस्पुची को स्पेन का मुख्य नाविक नियुक्त किया। इन्हीं के नाम पर अमेरिका का नामकरण हुआ। इससे पहले 1492 में कोलंबस ने अमेरिका की खोज की थी।

1739 ईरान के बादशाह नादिर शाह ने अपनी फौज को दिल्ली में नरसंहार का आदेश दिया। इतिहास में इसे कत्लेआम के नाम से जाना जाता है। ये कत्लेआम 58 दिन तक चला।

1761 उत्तरी अमेरिका में पहली जीवन बीमा पॉलिसी फिलाडेल्फिया में जारी की गई।

1794 दास व्यापार अधिनियम संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में अस्तित्व में आया। इसमें दासों के निर्यात एवं आयात पर रोक लगाई गई।

1829 लंदन प्रोटोकॉल में तीन रक्षा शक्तियों (यूनाइटेड किंगडम, फ्रांस और रूस) ने ग्रीस की सीमाएं निर्धारित कीं।

1873 कैरेबियन द्वीपीय देश पुएर्ते रिको में दास प्रथा खत्म की गई।

1877 भारतीय उद्योगपति और ऑटोमोबाइल क्षेत्र के अग्रणी उद्यमी टी. वी. सुंदरम अयंगर का जन्म हुआ।

1882 भारत के उर्दू के प्रसिद्ध प्रखर पत्रकार, लेखक और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता तथा नवाबराय के नाम से लिखने वाले धनपत राय श्रीवास्तव को मुंशी प्रेमचंद नाम देने वाले मुंशी दयानारायण निगम का जन्म कानपुर में हुआ। दयानारायण ने मशहूर पत्रिका नया ज़माना प्रकाशित की जिसमें उन्होंने प्रेमचंद की कहानियां भी छापीं।

1885 प्रख्यात भारतीय पुरातत्त्व वैज्ञानिक गुलाम याजदानी का जन्म हुआ।

1888 कलकत्ता में इंग्लिश फुटबॉल लीग की स्थापना की गई।

1890 रामचंद्र चटर्जी पैराशूट से उतरने वाले पहले भारतीय व्यक्ति बने।

1894 शिक्षक, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता और भारत की स्वतंत्रता के लिए चटगांव विद्रोह का सफल नेतृत्व करने वाले प्रसिद्ध क्रांतिकारी सूर्य सेन मास्टर दा का जन्म चटगांव, बांग्लादेश में हुआ। चटगांव में सेना के हथियार लूटने के अपराध में ब्रिटिश सरकार ने इन्हें 12 जनवरी 1934 को फांसी पर लटका दिया।

1895 पेरिस में पहली बार सार्वजनिक रूप से एक फिल्म दिखाई गई। लुई ल्यूमियर ने फैक्ट्री से बाहर निकलते कामगारों का एक वीडियो रिकॉर्ड कर स्क्रीन पर दिखाया था। इस तकनीक को ल्यूमियर ब्रदर्स ने अपने नाम से पेटेंट भी कराया। ये फिल्म महज 45 सेकेंड की थी। इसे देखने 200 दर्शक आए थे। 1896-97 में इस फिल्म को भारत में प्रदर्शित किया गया। पहली फिल्म प्रदर्शित करने के बाद ल्यूमियर ब्रदर्स और उनकी टीम दुनियाभर में अपनी फिल्मों का प्रदर्शन करने लगी। इसके साथ ही ये लोग नई फिल्मों की शूटिंग भी कर रहे थे। आज भले आप 70एमएम स्क्रीन सुनते हैं, लेकिन ल्यूमियर ब्रदर्स की पहली फिल्म 35एमएम पर शूट हुई थी।

1912 बंगाल प्रेसिडेंसी से अलग होकर एक नया राज्य बना बिहार। ये देश का 12वां राज्य था। 22 मार्च को बिहार दिवस मनाया जाता है। दुनिया के बहुत से हिस्सों में जब लोग पढ़ना-लिखना भी नहीं जानते थे, उस समय शिक्षा का सबसे बड़ा केंद्र नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय इसी राज्य में था। छठी शताब्दी ईसा पूर्व में बिहार के शासकों का चयन जनता के प्रतिनिधियों द्वारा किया जाता था। 1935 में बिहार से अलग होकर उड़ीसा (अब ओडिशा) नया राज्य अस्तित्व में आया। फिर 2000 में फिर बिहार का विभाजन हुआ और झारखंड का जन्म हुआ।

1917 इस्लामी मिशनरी संस्था तब्लीगी जमात के द्वितीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय अमीर यानी मुखिया मुस्लिम विद्वान मोहम्मद यूसुफ कंधालवी का जन्म उत्तर प्रदेश में मुजफ्फर नगर के कंधाला में हुआ। इसी दिन रूस में समाजवादियों के नेतृत्व में बनी नई सरकार को मान्यता देने वाला अमेरिका पहला देश बना।

1918 दक्षिण अमेरिकी देश गुयाना के राष्ट्रपिता कहे जाने वाले, जो गुयाना के प्रधानमंत्री और राष्ट्रपति भी रहे, छेदी जगन का जन्म पोर्ट मोरांट, गुयाना में हुआ।

1922 भारतीय स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और उड़ीसा के राजनीतिज्ञ चिंतामणी पाण्ग्रिही का जन्म हुआ।

1923 पहली बार आइस हाकी मैच का रेडियो से प्रसारण हुआ।

1933 जर्मन होलोकॉस्ट- दचाऊ में पहले नाजी यातनाग्रह का निर्माण पूरा हो गया था। यहां लाखों यहूदियों को बर्बर यातनाएं दी गईं, हत्याएं की गईं।

1934 अमेरिका के जॉर्जिया के ऑगस्टा में गोल्फ के पहले मास्टर्स टूर्नामेंट का ऑगस्टा नेशनल गोल्फ क्लब ने आयोजन किया।

1935 विख्यात मलयालम कवि, गीतकार कदम्मानित्ता रामाकृष्णन या एम आर रामाकृष्णन पानिटकर का जन्म कदम्मानित्ता, केरल में हुआ। 

1937 भारत के जाने माने अमीर कारोबारी, जीवीके एमरी ग्रुप कारोबारी समूह के मुखिया, पद्मभूषण एवं तमाम अन्य सम्मान प्राप्त गुनापति वेंकटा कृष्णा रेड्डी का जन्म श्री पोट्टी श्रीरामालू, नेल्लोर आंध्र प्रदेश में हुआ।

1938 पाकिस्तान की प्रमुख और मशहूर फिल्म अभिनेत्री, माॅडल और निर्देशिका तथा फिल्म निर्मात्री शमीम आरा का जन्म अलीगढ़, उत्तर प्रदेश में हुआ।

1939 भारत के मुख्य मुफ्ती, प्रमुख भारतीय सुन्नी मुस्लिम धार्मिक नेता, जामिया मर्कज के कुलपति, सिराज दैनिक अखबार के अध्यक्ष, आॅल इंडिया सुन्नी जमियतुल उलमा के महासचिव अंथापुरम एपी अबूबकर मुसलियार या शेख अबूबक्र अहमद का जन्म कोंथापुरम, केरल में हुआ। 

1942 सर स्टैफोर्ड क्रिप्स के नेतृत्व में क्रिप्स मिशन भारत आया।

1945 मलयालम सिनेमा की प्रमुख, लोकप्रिय अभिनेत्री, निर्देशिका सर्वाधिक फिल्मों में अभिनय के लिए गिनेज बुक आॅफ वर्ल्ड रिकाॅर्ड धारक शीला रामचंद्रन का त्रिसूर में जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन मिस्र, इराक, लेबनान, सऊदी अरब, सीरिया, ट्रांसजॉर्डन, और यमन ने अरब लीग की स्थापना की, जो एक क्षेत्रीय संगठन है जो अरब जगत के हितों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए डिजाइन किए गए राजनीतिक, आर्थिक, सांस्कृतिक, वैज्ञानिक और सामाजिक कार्यक्रमों की सुविधा देता है।

1946 ब्रिटेन ने जॉर्डन को आजाद करने के लिए संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किये।

1947 आखिरी ब्रिटिश अफसर भारतीय वायसराय लार्ड लुईस माउंटबेटन भारत आये।

1949 महाराष्ट्र के प्रमुख भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस नेता एवं नागपुर से अनेक बार लोकसभा सदस्य चुने गये विलास भाउराव मुत्तेमवार का जन्म सिंदेवाही में हुआ।

1954 अमेरिका में मिशीगन के साउथफील्ड में पहला शॉपिंग मॉल खोला गया।

1956 अमरीका में प्रमुख मानवाधिकारवादी एवं रंगभेद विरोधी नेता मार्टिन लूथर किंग को नस्लवादी कानून का विरोध करने पर जेल हुई। किंग के नेतृत्व में अलबामा के काले लोगों ने राज्य में चलने वाली बसों का बहिष्कार किया था। बसों में अश्वेतों को यात्रा करने का अधिकार नहीं था। इनके पिता मार्टिन लूथर भी मानवाधिकारवादी, समाज सुधारक और ईसाई धर्म के प्रमुख सुधारक हुए।

1957 भारत ने शक संवत आधारित राष्ट्रीय कैलेंडर को स्वीकार किया। इसी दिन भारत के जाने माने उद्योगपति और कारोबारी क्रिलोस्कर ब्रदर्स लि. समूह के अध्यक्ष संजय क्रिलोस्कर का जन्म नागपुर में हुआ।

1958 सोवियत संघ ने नोवाया जेमलया में परमाणु परीक्षण किया।

1960 प्रख्यात भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीतज्ञ, गायिका रागिनी त्रिवेदी का जन्म हुआ। 1960 में इसी दिन दो अमेरिकी वैज्ञानिकों को लेजर यानी लाइट एप्लीफिकेश बाय स्टीमुलेटेड एमिशन ऑफ रेडिएशन का पेटेंट मिला। इसका इस्तेमाल प्रिंटिंग, स्किन ट्रीटमेंट से लेकर लेजर सर्जरी तक में होता है।

1961 उड़ीसा के जाने माने राजनेता एवं भारतीय जनता पार्टी के लोकसभा सदस्य जुआल ओरांव का जन्म सुंदरगढ़ में हुआ।

1963 प्लीज मी, द बीटल्स संगीत बैंड द्वारा रिकॉर्ड पहला एल्बम जारी किया गया।

1964 कलकत्ता में पुरानी कारों की पहली रैली विंटेज कार रैली आयोजित की गई।

1969 इंडियन पेट्रोकैमिकल्स कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड का उद्घाटन हुआ।

1972 आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता और राज्य सभा सदस्य संजय सिंह का जन्म सुल्तानपुर, उत्तर प्रदेश में हुआ।

1975 लोकप्रिय तेलुगू टेलीविजन एंकर, अभिनेत्री एवं टीवी प्रोग्राम प्रोड्यूसर सुमा कनकला का जन्म पलक्कड़ में हुआ।

1977 चुनाव में हार के बाद श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी ने प्रधानमंत्री के पद से इस्तीफा दिया। इसी दिन केरल के प्रसिद्ध कम्युनिस्ट नेता और प्रसिद्ध भारतीय स्वतंत्रता सेनानी ए. के. गोपालन का निधन हुआ।

1978 फ्रांस ने परमाणु परीक्षण किया।

1979 इजरायल की संसद ने मिस्र के साथ शांति संधि को मान्यता दी।

1982 नासा ने अपने अंतरिक्ष यान कोलंबिया को तीसरे मिशन पर लिए रवाना किया।

1984 मिस कोयंबटूर 2004 एवं मिस केरल रनर अप 2005 फिल्म अभिनेत्री, वीजे एवं माॅडल पूजा रामचंद्रन का जन्म बंगलौर में हुआ।

1993 संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ ने जल संसाधनों को बचाने के लिए वर्ल्ड वाटर डे मनाने का ऐलान किया। इसी दिन 1993 इंटेल पेंटियम-प्रोसेसर (80586) 64 बिट्स -60 मेगाहर्ट्ज -100 ़ एमआइपी पेश किया गया।

1995 रूसी अंतरिक्ष यात्री वालेरी पेलियाकोव साढ़े चैदह माह के रिकार्ड अंतरिक्ष प्रवास के बाद पृथ्वी के लिए रवाना हुए। इसी दिन 1995 बैंक ऑफ इंग्लैंड के डिप्टी गवर्नर, रूपर्ट पेनाट-री ने एक स्वतंत्र महिला पत्रकार के साथ अपने यौन संबंध के खुलासे के बाद इस्तीफा दिया।

1997 अमेरिका की तारा लिपिंस्की ने लुसाने में लेडीज फिगर स्केटिंग चैंपियनशिप जीती।

1998 बोल्ड, खूबसूरत, जानी मानी बहुप्रतिभावान भारतीय, बाॅलीवुड फिल्मी गीत गायिका, पाॅप सिंगर और यूट्यूबर ध्वनि भानुशाली का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ। वे अपने यूट्यूब चैनल के 1.3 बिलियन व्यूज पार होने के बाद बेहद चर्चित हुईं। इनका गाया फिल्म सत्यमेव जयते के गीत दिलबर और वेल्कम टू न्यूयाॅर्क का गीत इश्तेहार बहुत पाॅपुलर हुआ।

1999 जार्डन के शाह अब्दुल्ला ने अपनी पत्नी राजकुमारी रानिया को आधिकारिक रूप से महारानी नामित किया। इसी दिन प्रख्यात भारतीय फिल्मकार शेखर कपूर की फिल्म एलिजाबेथ को सर्वश्रेष्ठ मेकअप का आस्कर पुरस्कार मिला। 

2000 भारत की मशहूर अंतरराष्ट्रीय टेनिस खिलाड़ी, अनेक राष्ट्रीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं की विजेता नैना जायसवाल का जन्म हैदराबाद में हुआ।

2002 ब्रिटेन में गले के नीच पूरे शरीर में लकवे से ग्रस्त एक 43 वर्षीय महिला को इच्छा मृत्यु का अधिकार दिया गया।

2003 पाकिस्तान सरकार ने इराक पर अमेरिकी हमले के चलते सैफ खेल प्रतियोगिता स्थगित की। इसी दिन गठबंधन सेना ने इराक में फरात नदी के किनारे पर स्थित नासिरिया शहर पर कब्जा किया और बसरा की घेराबंदी कर दक्षिणी इराक में अपने आगे बढ़ने का सिलसिला जारी रखा।

2004 फिलिस्तीन में हमास के सहसंस्थापक और फिलिस्तीन के इस्लामिक नेता शेख अहमद यासीन की इजरायली मिसाइल हमले में मौत हुई।

2005 तमिल फिल्मों के मशहूर कलाकार जेमिनी गणेशन का निधन हुआ। फिल्मों में रोमांटिक भूमिकाएं निभाने के लिए तमिल सिनेमा में उन्हें कादल मन्नान यानी रोमांस का देवता उपनाम मिला था। गणेशन हिंदी फिल्मों की लोकप्रिय अभिनेत्री रेखा के पिता थे।

2007 पाकिस्तान ने हत्फ-7 मिसाइल का परीक्षण किया। इसी दिन भारतीय दार्शनिक उप्पलुरी गोपाल कृष्णमूर्ति का निधन हुआ।

2010 स्वास्थ्य देखभाल और शिक्षा सुलह अधिनियम यू.एस. हाउस ऑफ रिप्रेजेंटेटिव द्वारा पारित किया गया। इसी दिन केरल सरकार द्वारा गठित 14 सदस्यीय समिति ने कोला के पलक्कड स्थित प्लांट से पर्यावरण नुकसान की पुष्टि करते हुए 218 करोड का हर्जाना माँगने की तथा इसके लिए कानूनी लड़ाई लड़ने के लिए एक प्राधिकरण के गठन की शिफारिश की। इसी दिन भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण की स्वर्ण चतुर्भुज परियोजना में कार्यरत युवा इंजीनियर सत्येंद्र दुबे की बिहार में गया स्थित सर्किट हाउस के सामने 27 नवंबर 2003 को तड़के गोली मारकर हत्या कर दिए जाने के मामले में तीन लोगों, मंटू कुमार, उदय कुमार तथा पिंकू रविदास को पटना की एक अदालत ने दोषी ठहराया।

2012 दो लाख से अधिक लोगों ने मॉन्ट्रियल, कनाडा में माध्यमिक शिक्षा ट्यूशन फीस बढ़ोतरी के विरोध में मार्च किया।

2013 ब्रिटिश फूड स्टैंडर्ड्स एजेंसी ने हंगरी से आयात किए गए 100 किलोग्राम घोड़े के मांस के लंकाशायर में एक खोज की रिपोर्ट की, जिसे बीफ बताया गया था।

2014 ब्राजील सरकार वायरलेस मांग को पूरा करने के लिए बहुत आवश्यक क्षमता प्रदान करके मोबाइल फोन कंपनियों को देश के टेलीविजन बैंडविड्थ स्पेक्ट्रम का हिस्सा नीलाम किया।

2016 तीन आत्मघाती हमलावरों ने ब्रुसेल्स हवाई अड्डे और मैलबीक/मालबीक मेट्रो स्टेशन पर बम विस्फोटों में 32 लोगों की हत्या कर दी और 316 को घायल कर दिया।

2017 लंदन में संसद भवन के पास एक आतंकवादी हमले में चार लोगों की मौत हो गई और कम से कम 20 घायल हो गए। इसी दिन सीरियाई गृहयुद्ध में फंसे सीरियन डेमोक्रेटिक फोर्सेज (एसडीएफ) के पांच सौ सदस्यों को संयुक्त राज्य वायु सेना के हेलीकॉप्टरों ने दक्षिण में एयरलिफ्ट किया, जिससे तबका की लड़ाई शुरू हुई।

2018 प्रसिद्ध डच राजनीतिज्ञ, अकादमिक और लेखक, याद वाशेम प्राप्तकर्ता जोहान वैन हुल्स्ट का निधन हुआ।

2019 2016 के संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति चुनाव पर विशेष वकील की जांच पूरी कर रॉबर्ट मुलर ने संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के अटॉर्नी जनरल को अपनी रिपोर्ट सौंपी। इसी दिन घाना की राजधानी अकरा के उत्तर में एक शहर किताम्पो में दो बसें दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गईं, जिसमें कम से कम 50 लोग मारे गए। 2019 में इसी दिन प्रसिद्ध ब्रिटिश-अमेरिकी गायक-गीतकार स्कॉट वॉकर का निधन हुआ।

2020 नरेंद्र मोदी ने 22 मार्च को एक दिन के जनता कर्फ्यू का आह्वान किया। पुलिस और सुरक्षा बलों की मदद से इसे सख्ती से लागू किया गया। इसी को उत्तराखंड सहित कई राज्यों ने नियमित लाॅकडाउन में बदल दिया और लाखों लोग जहां थे वहीं फंसे रह गये। यह लाॅकडाउन जनता के लिए बहुत मारक और भयंकर परेशानियों भरा रहा। जनता को किसी भी प्रकार की कोई राहत, सुविधा देने के लिए कोई इंतजाम नहीं किए गये।

2021 भारतीय हिंदी सिनेमा के दिग्गज पटकथा लेखक सागर सरहदी का निधन हुआ। इसी दिन 2021 में कोलोराडो, अमेरिका के बोल्डर में सामूहिक गोलीबारी में दस लोग मारे गए।

2022 22 मार्च से देश में पेट्रोल-डीजल की कीमतों के साथ घरेलू रसोई गैस एलपीजी की कीमतों में बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई। सरकारी ऑयल मार्केटिंग कंपनी इंडियन ऑयल कॉरपोरेशन ने एलपीजी के दाम में बड़ी बढ़ोतरी करते हुए इसे 50 रुपये महंगा कर दिया है। इससे जनता की रसोई का बजट और बढ़ जाएगा और लोगों की जेब पर बड़ा पड़ेगा। बढ़ती महंगाई को लेकर कांग्रेस ने भाजपा पर निशाना साधा है। कांग्रेस के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव और राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता रणदीप सुरजेवाला ने गैस के दामों में बढ़ात्तरी को देखते हुए ट्वीट कर कहा, महा-महंगाई - भाजपा लाई। उन्होंने अपने ट्वीट में कहा अब गैस सिलेंडर पर 50 रुपये बढ़ा। दिल्ली व मुंबई में गैस की कीमत 949.50 है। लखनऊ में 987.50 रुपये। कोलकाता में गैस की कीमत 976 रुपये है तो चेन्नई में 965.50 रुपये।

2023 ब्रिटेन के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री बोरिस जॉनसन (अलेक्जेंडर बोरिस डी फाफेल जॉनसन) ने एक बार फिर पार्टीगेट मामले पर माफी मांगी। जॉनसन ने इस बार माफी डाउनिंग स्ट्रीट में कोविड लॉकडाउन नियम तोड़ने के मामले में अपनी पार्टी द्वारा ब्रिटिश संसद को अनजाने में गुमराह करने के लिए मांगी है। हाउस ऑफ कॉमन्स की विशेषाधिकार समिति द्वारा बुधवार को जॉनसन से घंटों पूछताछ की गई। कमेटी इस बात की जांच कर रही है कि क्या उन्होंने लॉकडाउन नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वाले पार्टीगेट घोटाले पर जानबूझकर संसद को गुमराह किया। जॉनसन ने कहा कि मैं अनजाने में इस सदन को गुमराह करने के लिए माफी मांगता हूं, लेकिन यह कहना कि मैंने इसे लापरवाही से या जानबूझकर गुमराह किया पूरी तरह से असत्य है, जैसा कि सबूत बताते हैं। पूछताछ के दौरान 58 वर्षीय कंजर्वेटिक पार्टी सांसद जॉनसन ने जोर देकर कहा कि लॉकडाउन की अवधि के दौरान ये कार्यक्रम जरूरी थे क्योंकि लॉकडाउन के दौरान डाउनिंग स्ट्रीट का इस्तेमाल कार्यालय और घर दोनों के तौर पर किया जा रहा था।

Bostraan era (Era of Bostra, Arab era) The calendar era began on March 22, 106 AD. 1894 Surya Sen Master Da, teacher, social worker and famous revolutionary who successfully led the Chittagong rebellion for India's independence, was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The British government hanged him on 12 January 1934 for the crime of looting army weapons in Chittagong.

1895 A film is shown publicly for the first time in Paris. Louis Lumiere had recorded a video of workers leaving the factory and shown it on the screen. The Lumiere Brothers also patented this technology in their own name. This film was only 45 seconds long. 200 spectators had come to see it. This film was released in India in 1896-97. 1937 Gunapati Venkata Krishna Reddy, a well-known wealthy businessman of India, head of the GVK Emery Group business conglomerate, recipient of Padma Bhushan and many other honors, was born in Sri Potti Sriramalu, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.

1938 Shamim Ara, Pakistan's leading and famous film actress, model and director and film producer, was born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.

1975 Suma Kanakala, popular Telugu television anchor, actress and TV program producer, was born in Palakkad.

The same day, two buses crashed in Kitampo, a town north of Ghana's capital Accra, killing at least 50 people. On this day in 2019, famous British-American singer-songwriter Scott Walker passed away.

2020 Narendra Modi called for a one-day public curfew on 22 March. It was strictly enforced with the help of police and security forces. Many states including Uttarakhand converted this into regular lockdown and lakhs of people were left stranded where they were. This lockdown has been very lethal and full of terrible problems for the people. No arrangements were made to provide any kind of relief or facility to the public.

2021 Veteran screenwriter of Indian Hindi cinema Sagar Sarhadi passed away. On this day in 2021, ten people were killed in a mass shooting in Boulder, Colorado, USA.

2022 From March 22, there was an increase in the prices of domestic cooking gas LPG along with the prices of petrol and diesel in the country. Government oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation has made a big increase in the price of LPG, making it costlier by Rs 50. This will further increase the budget of public kitchens and will make a bigger dent in people's pockets. Congress has targeted BJP over rising inflation.
