1398 मंगोल शासक और विस्तारवादी तैमूर लंग ने सुल्तान नुसरत शाह को हराकर दिल्ली पर कब्जा किया।

1499 स्पेन में मुसलमानों के जबरन धर्म परिवर्तन के जवाब में अल्पुजर्रास में विद्रोह छिड़ गया।

1552 मोरक्को के प्रसिद्ध लेखक, न्यायाधीश और गणितज्ञ हुए अहमद इब्न अल-कादी का जन्म हुआ।

1642 समुद्री खोजी नाविक तस्मान न्यूजीलैंड की धरती पर उतरा। उसी के नाम पर न्यूजिलैंड के समीपवर्ती समुद्र को तस्मानिया समुद्र भी कहा जाता है।

1756 भारत के छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य की संत परंपरा में सर्वोच्च माने जाने वाले सतनामी समाज के संत गुरु घासीदास का जन्म हुआ।

1777 अमेरिका में पहली बार नेशनल थैंक्स गिविंग डे मनाया गया। इसमें मेहनतकशों का आभार प्रकट किया जाता है।

1778 इंग्लिश क्राउन के नाम से मशहूर जोसेफ ग्रेमैल्डी का जन्म हुआ।

1787 अमेरिकी संविधान को स्वीकार करने वाला न्यू जर्सी तीसरा राज्य बना।

1799 प्रथम अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जार्ज वाशिंगटन के पार्थिव शरीर को माउंट वर्नान में दफनाया गया।

1867 अमेरिकी शहर न्यूयॉर्क के अंगोला में, एक झील के किनारे रेल के आखिरी कोच पटरी से उतरे 40 फीट नीचे गिरे, आग लग गई, जिससे 49 लोगों की मौत हुई।

1892 परी-कथा बैले द नटक्रैकर्स का पहला प्रदर्शन, सेंट पीटर्सबर्ग, रूस में मरिंस्की थिएटर में आयोजित किया गया।

1899 फील्ड मार्शल लार्ड राबर्ट्स दक्षिण अफ्रीका में पहले ब्रिटिश सुप्रीम कमांडर नियुक्त किये गये।

1955 भारतीय बैंकों का हजारों करोड़ रुपये हड़प कर लंदन में मौज कर रहे शराब कारोबारी, उद्योगपति और राज्यसभा भाजपा सांसद रहे विजय माल्या का कलकत्ता में जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन इंडिगो एयर लाइन के सह संस्थापक, कारोबारी राहुल भाटिया का कलकत्ता में जन्म हुआ।

1956 जापान ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र की सदस्यता ग्रहण की।

1960 राजधानी दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय का उद्घाटन हुआ।

1963 अमेरिका के विश्वविख्यात अभिनेता ब्रैड पिट का जन्म हुआ। पिट को ढेरों गैर परंपरागत किरदारों को पर्दे पर साकार करने के लिए जाना जाता है।

1966 शनि के उपग्रह एपी मैथिल्स की खोज हुई।

1968 जानी मानी, खूबसूरत, बोल्ड बहुप्रतिभावान ब्रिटिश फिल्म एवं टेलीविजन अभिनेत्री, बीबीसी शो प्रस्तोता नीना वाडिया का बंबई में जन्म हुआ।

1969 इंगलैंड में मृत्युदंड की सजा समाप्त कर दी गई।

1971 प्रसिद्ध भारतीय टेलीविजन महिला पत्रकार, एंकर, लेखिका, स्तंभकार बर्खा दत्त का जन्म दिल्ली में हुआ। इसी दिन प्रसिद्ध भारतीय निबंधकार पदुमलाल पुन्नालाल बख्शी का निधन हुआ।

1972 विलमिंगटन, डेलावेयर, अमेरिका में नीलिया हंटर बिडेन का निधन हुआ। जो अमेरिकी शिक्षिका और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के 46वें राष्ट्रपति जो बिडेन की पहली पत्नी थीं। 1972 में उनकी एक वर्षीय बेटी नाओमी के साथ एक कार दुर्घटना में उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। उनके दो बेटे, ब्यू और हंटर, गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए लेकिन घटना में बच गए। उनकी मृत्यु उनके पति बिडेन के अमेरिकी सीनेट के लिए चुने जाने के छह सप्ताह बाद हुई।

1973 सोवियत सोयुज कार्यक्रम के तहत अंतरिक्ष यात्री वैलेन्टिन लेबेडेव और प्योत्र क्लिमुक द्वारा संचालित सोयुज 13 को सोवियत संघ के बैकोनूर से लॉन्च किया गया। इसी दिन इस्लामिक डेवलपमेंट बैंक की स्थापना हुई। 9 जुलाई 1908 को हैदराबाद, हैदराबाद राज्य, ब्रिटिश भारत में जन्मे अल्लामा रशीद तुराबी के नाम से मशहूर हुए रजा हुसैन का 18 दिसंबर 1973 को कराची, सिंध, पाकिस्तान में निधन हुआ। वे विख्यात इस्लामी विद्वान, धार्मिक नेता, सार्वजनिक वक्ता, कवि और दार्शनिक हुए।

1977 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड टेलीविजन शो प्रस्तोता, फिल्म अभिनेत्री, माॅडल, योग, खान-पान एवं यात्रा इत्यादि मामलों की प्रोग्राम निर्मात्री श्रुति सेठ का बंबई में जन्म हुआ।

1980 भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ तथा लोक सभा के सदस्य मुकुट बिहारी लाल भार्गव का निधन हुआ। इसी दिन 1980 में सोवियत प्रधानमंत्री एलेक्सी कोजीगिन का निधन हुआ।

1981 रूसी भारी रणनीतिक बमवर्षक टीयू-160 का पहला, दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा लड़ाकू विमान, सबसे बड़ा सुपरसोनिक विमान और सबसे बड़ा वैरिएबल-स्वीप विंग विमान बनाया गया।

1986 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड बाॅलीवुड फिल्म अभिनेत्री एवं माॅडल रिचा चड्ढा का अमृतसर में जन्म हुआ।

1987 प्रोग्रामर लैरी वॉल ने प्रोग्रामिंग भाषा पर्ल का पहला संस्करण comp.source.misc न्यूजग्रुप के माध्यम से जारी किया।

1987 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड बाॅलीवुड भारतीय फिल्म अभिनेत्री एवं माॅडल स्नेहा उल्लाल का जन्म ओमान की राजधानी मस्कट में हुआ।

1988 ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने महिला विश्व कप के फाइनल में इंग्लैंड को 8 विकेट से हराकर लगातार तीसरी बार खिताब जीतने की हैट्रिक बनाई।

1989 मिस इंटरनेशनल 2005, जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड फिल्म अभिनेत्री एवं माॅडल वैशाली देसाई का जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन जाने माने भारतीय क्रिकेटर सचिन तेंदुलकर ने अपना पहला एकदिवसीय क्रिकेट मैच पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ खेला था।

1990 संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने सभी प्रवासी श्रमिकों और उनके परिवारों के सदस्यों के अधिकारों की सुरक्षा पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन पर एक प्रस्ताव अपनाया। यह दूसरे देशों में काम करने वालों के सामने आने वाली दिक्कतों, उनके परिवारों और अन्य हितधारकों के बीच समस्याओं के समाधान पर सरकारों, संगठनों, नियोक्ताओं बेहतर स्थितियों पर बातचीत, सहयोग के आदान-प्रदान पर है।

1993 पिंक एलिफेंट पिक्चर फिल्म निर्माण कंपनी की मालकिन, जानी मानी खूबसूरत तेलुगू फिल्म अभिनेत्री, फिल्म निर्मात्री एवं माॅडल निहारिका कोनिडेला का जन्म हैदराबाद में हुआ।

1995 अज्ञात विमान ने पश्चिम बंगाल के पुरुलिया में भारी संख्या में हथियार गिराए।

1997 भारत और अमेरिका के बीच अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान में सहयोग के लिए वाशिंगटन समझौता हुआ। 1997 में इसी दिन किम दाए जुंग दक्षिण कोरिया के राष्ट्रपति चुने गए। वह देश के इतिहास में इस पद पर पहुंचने वाले विपक्ष के पहले नेता थे।

2007 जापान ने इंटरसेप्टर मिसाइल का परीक्षण किया।

2008 ब्रह्मोस सुपरसोनिक क्रूज नामक भारतीय मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण हुआ।

2010 2010 बोलोग्ने-बिलनकोर्ट, फ्रांस में जैकलीन वर्म्स डी रोमिली का निधन हुआ जो प्रसिद्ध फ्रांसीसी भाषाशास्त्री, शास्त्रीय विद्वान और कथा लेखिका थीं। वह कॉलेज डी फ्रांस के लिए नामांकित पहली महिला थीं और 1988 में एकेडेमी फ्रैंकाइज में प्रवेश करने वाली दूसरी महिला थीं। वह मुख्य रूप से प्राचीन ग्रीस की संस्कृति एवं भाषा और विशेष रूप से थ्यूसीडाइड्स पर अपने काम के लिए जानी जाती हैं।

2011 विख्यात जनकवि, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता, जाति व्यवस्था विरोधी, आलोचक रामनाथ सिंह यानी अदम गोंडवी का निधन हुआ।

2022 अर्जेंटीना ने 2022 फीफा विश्व कप फाइनल जीता, अतिरिक्त समय के बाद 3-3 से ड्रा के बाद पेनल्टी पर खिताब धारक फ्रांस को 4-2 से हराया। इसी दिन दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री और आम आदमी पार्टी आप के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने अरुणाचल प्रदेश के तवांग सेक्टर में भारत और चीन के सैनिकों के बीच झड़प को लेकर रविवार को केंद्र सरकार से देश के सैनिकों के लिए कुछ दम और सम्मान दिखाने को कहा। पार्टी की राष्ट्रीय परिषद की बैठक में उन्होंने कहा कि सीमा पर चीनी आक्रामकता बढ़ रही है, जबकि भाजपा नीत केंद्र सरकार कहती है सब कुछ ठीक है। केजरीवाल ने आरोप लगाया कि चीन को सजा देने के बजाय, मोदी सरकार इस पड़ोसी देश से बड़ी मात्रा में आयात की अनुमति देकर बीजिंग को इनाम दे रही है। उन्होंने देशवासियों से चीनी उत्पादों का बहिष्कार करने की भी अपील की। उन्होंने कहा कि जवानों के लिए आपके (मोदी सरकार के) मन में कोई सम्मान नहीं है? थोड़ा दम दिखाओ। अगर भारत ने आयात बंद कर दिया तो चीन को औकात पता चल जाएगी।
