1149 दूसरे धर्मयुद्ध में नूर दीनी जंगी के नेतृत्व वाली सेना ने प्रिंस रेमंड की अगुवाई वाली एंटिओक सेना को हराया और राजकुमार रेमंड को भी मार दिया।

1444 अल्बानियाई सामंती सरदार और सैन्य कमांडर ग्जेरग्ज कास्ट्रियोटी यानी स्कंदरबेग (जिसे आमतौर पर गलत तरीके से सिकंदरबेग लिखा जाता है) ने ऑटोमन साम्राज्य (आज का तुर्की) की सेना को हराया।

1534 जैक्स कार्टियर राजकुमार एडवर्ड द्वीप पर पहुंचने वाला पहला यूरोपीय था। प्रिंस एडवर्ड द्वीप कनाडा का एक प्रांत है यह कई छोटे द्वीपों का समूह भी है। यह कनाडा का एकमात्र प्रांत है जिसके पास कोई भूमि सीमा नहीं है।

1613 अंग्रेजी के विश्व चर्चित नाटककार विलियम शेक्सपियर का ग्लेाब थियेटर आग लगने से क्षतिग्रस्त हुआ। नाटक मंचन के दौरान लंदन में मूल ग्लोब थिएटर ने विशेष प्रभाव हेतु लगाई गई ग्राउंड आफ्टर तोप से विलियम शेक्सपियर के हेनरी आठवें के जीवन पर आधारित नाटक के प्रदर्शन के दौरान मिसफायर हो गया और थिएटर की छत में आग लग गई।

1659 इवान विहोव्सकी के नेतृत्व वाली यूक्रेन की सेना ने प्रिंस त्रुबेत्सकॉय के नेतृत्व में रूसी सेना को कोनोटोप युद्ध में पराजित किया।

1757 ब्रिटिश अफसर गवर्नर जनरल राॅबर्ट क्लाइव ने मुर्शीदाबाद में प्रवेश किया और मीर जाफर को बंगाल, बिहार और ओड़िशा का नवाब नियुक्त किया।

1767 ब्रिटिशों ने टाउनशेंड राजस्व अधिनियम पास करके अमेरिका पर कर लगाया।

1850 ब्रिटेन के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री सर रॉबर्ट पील घुड़सवारी के दौरान गिर गये जिसके तीन दिन बाद उनका निधन हो गया।

1855 विश्व प्रतिष्ठित ब्रिटिश दैनिक अखबार टेलीग्राफ का लंदन से प्रकाशन शुरू हुआ।

1873 बंगला भाषा के प्रसिद्ध कवि माइकल मधुसूदन दत्त का निधन हुआ।

1893 प्रसिद्ध साख्यिकीविद, समाज विज्ञानी और भारत के पहले योजना आयोग अध्यक्ष प्रशांत चंद्र महालनोबिस का जन्म को कलकत्ता में हुआ।

1966 प्रसिद्ध भारतीय, मानव विज्ञानी, इतिहासज्ञ, राजनीतिक सिद्धांतकार, भाषा-वैज्ञानिक और गणितज्ञ और जीवन के विविध विषयों के विशेषज्ञ दामोदर धर्मानंद कोसांबी का पुणे में निधन हुआ। अमेरिका ने इसी दिन उत्तरी वियतनाम के निकट ईंधन भंडारण स्थल पर बम गिराये।

1967 प्रसिद्ध अमेरिकी अभिनेत्री जेने मैंसफील्ड, उनके प्रेमी सैम ब्रोडी और उनके साथी न्यू ऑरलियन्स के बाहर कार दुर्घटना में मारे गए, उनके साथी हिचिल्डेनर मिकलो, जोल्टन, और मरिस्का हरगिते चोटिल हुए।

1974 मारिया एस्तेला ईसाबेल मार्टिनेज दी पेरोन अर्जेन्टीना की अंतरिम राष्ट्रपति बनीं। इसी दिन अमेरिका के कैलिफोर्निया में ऐनाहिम में डिज्नीलैंड पहली बार जनता के लिए खोला गया।

1975 खूबसूरत, बोल्ड, जानी मानी अभिनेत्री, स्टेंडअप काॅमेडियन एवं माॅडल उपासना सिंह का जन्म होशियारपुर, पंजाब में हुआ।

1976 सिशेल्स द्वीप समूह को स्वतंत्रता मिली इसके बाद से यह दिन इस देश में स्वतंत्रता दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

1981 गोल्ड स्पाॅट से माॅडलिंग के पेशे में कदम रखने वाली खूबसूरत, बोल्ड, जानी मानी माॅडल और अभिनेत्री शेनाज ट्रेजरीवाला का जन्म बंबई में हुआ।

1982 जानी मानी, खूबसूरत, बोल्ड टेलीविजन, फिल्म अभिनेत्री और माॅडल नौशीन अली सरदार का जन्म बंबई में हुआ।

1985 यूरोपीय आर्थिक समुदाय ने यूरोप के ध्वज को अपनाया। इसी दिन यूरोपीय फुटबॉल कप के दौरान दो टीमों के प्रशंसकों के बीच हुई झड़प में 39 लोगों की मौत हो गई।

1988 पाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति जिया उल हक ने सरकार को बर्खास्त कर संसद भंग कर दी और इसी दिन प्रख्यात राजस्थानी लोकगीत, मांड गायिका गवरी देवी का निधन हुआ।

1990 प्रज्ञा यादव के नाम से सुपरिचित स्विडिश - भारतीय माॅडल, फिल्म अभिनेत्री एवं फिल्म निर्मात्री प्रज्ञा कपूर का जन्म बार्घोम, स्वीडन में हुआ। इसी दिन जानी मानी, खूबसूरत, बोल्ड बहुप्रतिभावान उड़िया फिल्म एवं टेलीविजन अभिनेत्री एवं माॅडल अर्चिता साहू का जन्म भुवनेश्वर में हुआ।

1991 सोवियत संघ के विघटन के बाद पूर्वी देशों के सहयोग संगठन कामकोन भंग कर दिया गया।

1992 अल्जीरिया के राष्ट्रपति मोहम्मद बोडियाफ की हत्या उन्हीं के अंगरक्षक ने कर दी।

2000 सिएरा लियोन में रिवॉल्यूशनरी यूनाइटेड फ्रंट के विद्रोहियों ने बंधक बनाए गए भारतीय शांति सैनिकों को रिहा किया। इसी दिन विश्व की प्रमुख कंपनी आई.बी.एम. ने विश्व का सबसे तीव्र गति कम्प्यूटर पेश किया।

2002 अमेरिकी तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति जार्ज बुश के कोलोनोस्कोपी उपचार शुरु होने पर उप-राष्ट्रपति डिक चेनी ने कार्यकारी राष्ट्रपति का कार्य संभाला।

2002 चीन में आए जबरदस्त भूकंप से जान और माल की भारी तबाही हुई।

2004 इंडोनेशिया की राजधानी जकार्ता में पूर्वी एशियाई देशों के प्रतिनिधियों के सम्मेलन में आसियान को प्रमुख ताकत बनाने पर सहमति बनी।

2005 भारत और अमेरिका में समग्र 10 वर्षीय समझौता हुआ।

2006 अमेरिकी सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अमेरिका की जेल ग्वांतानामो बे में बंदियों को बर्बर, अमानवीय यातनाएं देने के सुरक्षाबलों के कृत्य को अमेरिका और अंतरराष्ट्रीय कानून दोनों का उल्लंघन करार दिया।

2007 प्रथम बार भारत सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय सांख्यिकी दिवस का आयोजन किया। विख्यात भारतीय प्रोफेसर और वैज्ञानिक प्रशांत चंद्र महालनोबिस के जन्मदिन को राष्ट्रीय सांख्यिकी दिवस के रूप में नामित करने का निर्णय लिया गया। 5 जून 2007 को, भारतीय राजपत्र द्वारा राष्ट्रीय सांख्यिकी दिवस के बारे में एक अधिसूचना प्रकाशित की गई। सांख्यिकी में समाज के विभिन्न स्तरों पर सर्वेक्षण किये जाते हैं, जानकारियां एकत्र की जाती हैं। जिससे संबंधित लोगों और क्षेत्रों के लिए योजनाएं तय करने, नीतियां बनाने में मदद मिलती है। इसी दिन आईफोन के नाम से जाना जाने वाला एप्पल का पहला स्मार्टफोन बाजार में आया। इसी दिन सचिन तेंदुलकर ने दक्षिण अफ्रीका के खिलाफ फ्यूचर कप के दूसरे मैच में आंद्रे नेल की गेंद पर वनडे करियर के 15 हजार रन पूरे किए। भारत ने यह मैच छह विकेट से जीता।

2008 पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए काम करने वाली गैर सरकारी संस्था जनहित फाउंडेशन को पर्यावरण क्षेत्र का प्रसिद्ध पुरस्कार आइकॉम प्रदान किया गया। इसी दिन दुनिया के पहले प्रेगनेंट पुरुष थॉमस ने बेटी को जन्म दिया। इसी दिन अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जार्ज बुश ने कैलिफोर्निया के जंगलों में आग से प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में आपातकाल लागू करने की घोषणा की।

2011 भारतीय महिलाओं के बीच हुए एक सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार भारत की महिलाएँ सर्वाधिक तनाव में रहती हैं। दुनिया भर में महिलाएं खुद को बेहद तनाव और दबाव में महसूस करती हैं। यह समस्या आर्थिक तौर पर उभरते हुए देशों में ज्यादा दिख रही है। एक सर्वे में भारतीय महिलाओं ने खुद को सबसे अधिक तनाव में बताया। मानव तस्करी की निगरानी सूची (वॉच लिस्ट) से 2011 में भारत को बाहर कर दिया गया।

2012 हॉलीवुड अभिनेता टॉम क्रूज और उनकी पत्नी केटी होम्स का तलाक हुआ था। इसी दिन लगभग 15 हजार परमाणु विरोधी आंदोलनकारियों ने टोक्यो में जापान के प्रधानमंत्री शिंजो आबे के कार्यालय का घेराव किया।

2013 अमेरिका के कैलिफोर्निया राज्य की सरकार ने समलैंगिक विवाह पर लगी रोक हटाई।

2014 उष्णकटिबंधीय अनुसंधान संस्थानों के बीच सहयोग और इस विषय पर अधिक काम करने, जनजागरूकता बढ़ाने, सहयोग के आदान प्रदान आदि के लिए संबंधित ट्रॉपिक्स रिपोर्ट 29 जून 2014 को लॉन्च की गई थी। रिपोर्ट के लॉन्च की वर्षगांठ को उचित अवसर मानते हुए संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 2016 में संकल्प  ए/आरईएस/70/267 को अपनाया जिसके अनुसार घोषणा की गई कि प्रत्येक वर्ष 29 जून को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय उष्णकटिबंधीय दिवस मनाया जाएगा। तय किया गया कि उष्णकटिबंधीय क्षेत्र के देश सतत विकास लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने में अहम भूमिका निभाएंगे।

2014 सायना नेहवाल ने ऑस्ट्रेलियन सुपर सीरीज जीती। इसी दिन आईएसआईएस नामक कथित आतंकी स्थापना के साथ अबु बक्र अल-बगदादी ने स्वयं को खलीफा नामित किया।

2015 भीषण गर्मी ने भारत के कई राज्यों में 2300 से भी ज्यादा लोगों की जान ले ली। सबसे ज्यादा मौतें आंध्र प्रदेश और तेलंगाना में हुईं। ओडिशा के झारसुगुडा में पारा 49.5 डिग्री चढ़ा। साल 2015 में भारत के किसी भी क्षेत्र में ये सबसे ज्यादा तापमान था। हीट वेव से इंसानों के साथ जानवरों को भी भारी नुकसान उठाना पड़ा। अकेले तेलंगाना में ही 50 लाख मुर्गियों की मौत हो गई। सबसे ज्यादा मौतें भवन निर्माण स्थलों पर काम करने वाले मजदूरों, नौकरीशुदा, बुजुर्ग और बच्चों की हुई थी। हीट वेव से पाकिस्तान में भी करीब 1 हजार लोगों की मौत हुई। इंटरनेशनल डिजास्टर डेटाबेस वेबसाइट के मुताबिक ये हीट वेव इतिहास की 5वीं सबसे भीषण हीट वेव थी।

2016 भारतीय मूर्तिकार और भित्ति चित्रकार के.जी.सुब्रह्मण्यम का निधन हुआ।

2022 कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने मोदी सरकार द्वारा रोजमर्रा के तमाम कार्यों और इस्तेमाल की जाने वाली खाद्य वस्तुओं पर लगाए गये माल एवं सेवा कर (जीएसटी) को लेकर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की आलोचना करते हुए आरोप लगाया कि प्रधानमंत्री का गब्बर सिंह टैक्स अब गृहस्थी सर्वनाश टैक्स का विकराल रूप ले चुका है। कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने ट्वीट किया, घटती आमदनी और रोजगार, ऊपर से महंगाई का बढ़ रहा प्रहार। प्रधानमंत्री जी का गब्बर सिंह टैक्स अब गृहस्थी सर्वनाश टैक्स का विकराल रूप ले चुका है। राहुल ने लिखा कि अब दही, पनीर, शहद, मांस और मछली जैसे डिब्बा बंद और लेबल-युक्त खाद्य पदार्थों पर माल एवं सेवा कर (जीएसटी) लगेगा। साथ ही चेक जारी करने के एवज में बैंकों द्वारा लिये जाने पर शुल्क पर भी जीएसटी देना पड़ेगा।
