1246 नसीरुद्दीन मुहम्मद शाह प्रथम दिल्ली का बादशाह बना। इससे पूर्व दिल्ली के सुलतान अलाउद्दीन मसूद शाह को सत्ताच्युत कर निर्वासित कर दिया गया।

1624 हालैंड और फ्रांस के बीच स्पेन विरोधी संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किये गये।

1719 ग्लेन शीएल की लड़ाई में ब्रिटिश सेना ने याकूब और उनके स्पेनिश सहयोगियों को परास्त किया।

1888 प्रसिद्ध क्रांतिकारी महात्मा हंसराज के पुत्र बलराज भल्ला का जन्म हुआ।

1890 ब्रिटिश भारतीय सरकार ने रविवार को नियमित साप्ताहिक अवकाश घोषित किया।। इसी दिन भारत के प्रसिद्ध स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और असम के प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री गोपीनाथ बोरदोलोई का जन्म हुआ।

1906 प्रसिद्ध स्वतंत्रता सेनानी दामोदर मेनन का जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन हिंदी फिल्म जगत के प्रतिष्ठित गायक रूपकुमार राठौर का जन्म हुआ।

1907 फ्रांस एवं जापान के बीच चीन की स्वतंत्रता और अखंडता को बरकरार रखने के लिए एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर हुए।

1921 जाने-माने भारतीय हिंदी कवि शिवदीन राम जोशी का जन्म हुआ।

1922 खूबसूरत, बोल्ड, लोकप्रिय अमेरिकी माॅडल, गायिका और अभिनेत्री जूडी गार्लंड का जन्म ग्रांड रैपिड्स, मिनेसोटा में हुआ। इसी दिन विख्यात अमेरिकी फिल्म पटकथा लेखक रॉबर्ट एलन ऑरथॉर का जन्म हुआ।

1924 फासीवादियों ने रोम में इटली के लोकप्रिय समाजवादी नेता जायकोमो मटीओटी का अपहरण कर हत्या कर दी।

1931 प्रसिद्ध भारतीय वायलिन वादक एम. एस. गोपालकृष्णन का जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन नार्वे ने पूर्वी ग्रीनलैंड पर कब्जा किया।

1933 अमेरिका के वर्जीनिया राज्य के अबिंगडन शहर में बार्टर थियेटर का उद्घाटन किया गया।

1934 सोवियत संघ और रोमानिया के बीच राजनयिक संबंध दोबारा स्थापित हुए।

1938 प्रमुख भारतीय उद्योगपति और कारोबारी राहुल बजाज का जन्म हुआ। 2022 की 12 फरवरी को इनका देहांत हो गया।

1940 इटली ने द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान फ्रांस और ब्रिटेन के खिलाफ लड़ाई की घोषणा की। इसी दिन नार्वे ने नाजी जर्मनी के समक्ष आत्मसमर्पण किया। इसी दिन कनाडा ने 1940 में इटली के खिलाफ लड़ाई की घोषणा की।

1944 द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान जर्मनी की सेना ने यूनान के 218 लोगों की हत्या की।

1946 राजशाही खत्म होने के बाद इटली गणतांत्रिक राष्ट्र बना।

1957 इजरायल और सीरिया के बीच युद्ध विराम संधि होने के साथ 6 दिवसिय युद्ध समाप्त हुआ। गोलान पहाड़ियों पर इजराइल ने कब्जा किया।

1948 सहारा इंडिया के प्रमुख सुब्रत राय का जन्म अररिया, बिहार में हुआ। इसी दिन प्रख्यात मलयालम फिल्म अभिनेता सुकुमारन का जन्म हुआ।

1955 वैश्विक प्रतिष्ठा प्राप्त भारतीय बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी प्रकाश पादुकोण का जन्म हुआ।

1957 आधुनिक पंजाबी काव्य और गद्य के निर्माता के रूप में प्रसिद्ध भाई वीर सिंह का निधन हुआ।

1958 जाने माने साहित्यकार एवं सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता अनूप सेठी का जन्म 10 जून हुआ था।

1960 विख्यात तेलुगू फिल्म अभिनेता और राजनीतिज्ञ नंदमुरी बालकृष्ण का जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन नासिक में 1960 में इसी दिन रूसी युद्धक विमान मिग का उत्पादन शुरु हुआ।

1962 विख्यात भारतीय वन्यजीव फोटोग्राफर, बॉम्बे नेचुरल हिस्ट्री सोसाइटी के सदस्य, प्रकृति संरक्षण कार्यकर्ता और लेखक एन ए. नसीर का जन्म हुआ।

1967 इजराइल ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र के प्रस्ताव पर युद्ध विराम को स्वीकार कर छह दिन से चल रहे अरब युद्ध को समाप्त कर दिया। अब तक इजराइल ने यहूदियों, ईसाइयों और मुसलमानों के लिए पवित्र माने जाने वाले यरूशलम पर पूरी तरह से कब्जा कर लिया था। इसी दिन अर्जेंटीना बर्न कन्वेंशन कॉपीराइट संधि का सदस्य बना। द बर्न कन्वेंशन फॉर द प्रोटेक्शन ऑफ लिटरेरी एंड आर्टिस्टिक वर्क्स के रूप में बर्न कन्वेंशन कॉपीराइट संधि जानी जाती है, यह कॉपीराइट को नियंत्रित करने वाला एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समझौता है, जिसे 1886 में पहली बार बर्न, स्विट्जरलैंड में स्वीकार किया गया था।

1971 अमेरिका ने चीन के साथ चले आ रहे 21 साल के व्यापार प्रतिबंध को समाप्त किया।

1972 गूगल और अल्फाबेट इंक के सीईओ सुंदर पिचाई का जन्म मदुरई भारत में हुआ। अब वे अमेरिकी नागरिक हैं। इसी दिन बंबई के मडगांव बंदरगाह से पूर्ण वातानुकुलित पोत हर्षवर्धन का जलावतरण हुआ।

1977 विख्यात पंजाबी गायक मीका सिंह का जन्म पंजाब के दुर्गापुर में हुआ। इसी दिन पहले ऐप्पल द्वितीय सीरीज कंप्यूटर की बिक्री शुरू हुई।

1981 प्रसिद्ध भारतीय एथलीट देवेंद्र झाझरिया का जन्म हुआ।

1983 ब्रिटेन में मार्गरेट थैचर दूसरी बार प्रधानमंत्री बनीं।

1986 भारत ने इंग्लैंड को 5 विकेट से हराकर पहली बार लॉर्ड्स में टेस्ट मैच जीता था।

1987 हिंदी फिल्मों के प्रसिद्ध चरित्र अभिनेता जीवन यानी ओमकार नाथ धर का निधन हुआ। धार्मिक फिल्मों में यह नारद मुनि के रूप में काफी प्रसिद्ध हुए।

1994 चीन ने लोकनोर इलाके में गुप्त रूप से परमाणु परीक्षण किया।

1995 यूरोप के विक्सलेट इलाके में दुनिया की सबसे बजनी 5,100 किलोग्राम की घड़ी स्थापित की गई।

1999 इंडोनेशियाई स्वतंत्रता समर्थक नेता जोस रामोस होर्ता ने 23 वर्ष बाद स्वदेश लौटने की घोषणा की और इसी दिन जेनेवा में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम सम्मेलन की शुरुआत हुई। इसी दिन केरल में कोच्चि शहर के नेदूनबास्सेरी में एक निजी अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा के संचालन शुरु हुआ। इसी दिन युगोस्लावियाइ सेना कोसोवो से वापस लौटी।

2000 केवल 13 वर्ष 11 महीने की आयु में एवरेस्ट फतेह करने वाली प्रसिद्ध भारतीय पर्वतारोही मालावत पूर्णा का जन्म हुआ

2001 नेपाल नरेश वीरेंद्र की सपरिवार हत्याकांड की जांच अवधि चार दिन के लिए बढ़ाई गई। इसी दिन सिल्वियो बरलुस्कोनी इटली के प्रधानमंत्री बने।

2002 संयुक्त राष्ट्र विश्व खाद्य सम्मेलन इटली की राजधानी रोम में सम्पन्न हुआ। इसी दिन पाकिस्तान ने विश्व की दूसरी सबसे ऊँची चोटी के-2 का नाम बदलकर शाहगोरी कर दिया।

2003 मिशन मार्स के तहत अमेरिकन सरकारी अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी नासा ने स्पिरिट रोवर लॉन्च किया। यह संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका की मंगल अभियान कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत थी। स्पिरिट रोवर एक रोबोट संचालित वाहन था जो सूचना एकत्र करने के लिए मंगल की सतह पर भेजा गया और अमेरिका ग्रह मंगल की सतह पर उतरने वाला पहला देश बन गया।

2005 उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री और समाजवादी पार्टी के अध्यक्ष मुलायम सिंह यादव ने हर साल 10 जून को भूगर्भ जल दिवस मनाने का निर्णय लिया। तब से धरती में मौजूद जल के संरक्षण, इसके दुरुपयोग और तमाम अन्य भूगर्भ जल विषयक पहलुओं पर विचार-विमर्श, सहयोग-जागरूकता इत्यादि के लिए इस दिन विविध आयोजन होते हैं। हालांकि वैश्विक स्तर पर पानी के प्रति जागरूकता के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ की अगुवाई में हर साल 22 मार्च को विश्व जल दिवस या वर्ल्ड वाटर डे मनाया जाता है।

2008 विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन द्वारा नेत्रदान के महत्त्व के मद्देनजर विश्व नेत्रदान दिवस पर विचार किया गया था। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन द्वारा इसके बाद दिनांक 10 जून 2008  को विश्व नेत्रदान दिवस मनाने की घोषणा की गयी, इस  दिवस का उद्देश्य नेत्रदान का प्रचार- प्रसार करना और लोगो को नेत्रदान के प्रति जागरूक करना है।

2008 भारत की केंद्र सरकार ने तीनों सेनाओं के लिए एकीकृत स्पेस सेल की घोषणा की। इसी दिन अफगानिस्तान में अमेरिका के एक हवाई हमले में पाकिस्तान के कबायली इलाकों में पाकिस्तान सेना के फ्रंटियर कोर के आठ अर्धसैनिक बलों और तालिबान के आठ लड़ाकों की मौत हो गई। इसी दिन 54वें राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कारों की घोषणा 2008 में हुई, लगे रहो मुन्नाभाई को सर्वश्रेष्ठ लोकप्रिय फिल्म चुना गया जिसमें संजय दत्त ने मुख्य भूमिका निभाई है। इसी दिन उत्तरी यूनान में उद्योग संघ के अध्यक्ष जॉर्ज मीनोलास का अज्ञात लोगों ने अपहरण कर हत्या कर दी।

2018 भारत की राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी एनआईए के प्रमुख रह चुके शरद कुमार को केंद्रीय सतर्कता आयोग में आयुक्त नियुक्त किया गया।

2019 विख्यात कवि, रंगमंच कर्मी, कथाकार, नाटककार, फिल्म निर्देशक और फिल्म अभिनेता गिरीश कर्नाड का निधन हुआ। 2019 की 10 जून को भारत के जम्मू एवं कश्मीर के कठुआ में आठ वर्षीय मुस्लिम लड़की से बलात्कार और हत्या के लिए तीन लोगों को आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई गई, इस हाई-प्रोफाइल मामले में राजनीतिक इस्तीफे और देशव्यापी विरोध प्रदर्शन हुए।
