1979 केली ब्रुक का जन्म हुआ। केली एन पार्सन्स अंग्रेजी मॉडल, अभिनेत्री, मीडिया व्यक्तित्व हैं। ब्रिटेन और अमेरिका में एनबीसी सिटकॉम वन बिग हैप्पी में अपनी भूमिका से खास पहचान हासिल की।

1980 ब्रिटिश फिल्म ब्रिक लेन से खास पहचान बनाने वाली जानी मानी, बोल्ड, खूबसूरत बाॅलीवुड फिल्म अभिनेत्री, फिल्म निर्देशिका एवं माॅडल तनिष्था चटर्जी का जन्म पुणे में हुआ।

1983 भारत में पहले राष्ट्रमंडल शिखर सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया। यह सम्मेलन राजधानी दिल्ली में आयोजित किया गया।

1984 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड हिंदी तथा मराठी बाॅलीवुड फिल्म तथा टेलीविजन अभिनेत्री तथा माॅडल अमृता खानविलकर का जन्म बंबई में हुआ। इसी दिन लंदन के व्यस्ततम ऑक्सफोर्ड सर्कस स्टेशन पर आग लगने से करीब एक हजार लोग फंस गए।

1986 दक्षिण के आजकल के सुप्रसिद्ध फिल्म अभिनेता अक्किनेनी नागा चैतन्य का जन्म हुआ।

1989 जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड माॅडल और चेन्नई की सोशलाइट आरती वेंकटेश का जन्म चेन्नई में हुआ।

1990 300 से अधिक विज्ञापन फिल्मों में अभिनय करने वाली, खूबसूरत, बोल्ड माॅडल एवं अभिनेत्री कल्याणी यानी पूर्णिथा का जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन ब्रिटेन के प्रसिद्ध लेखक रोल्ड डॉल का इंग्लैंड के आक्सफोर्ड में निधन हुआ। डॉल को बच्चों के लिए अद्भुत साहित्य सृजन के लिए जाना जाता है।

1992 जाने माने भारतीय क्रिकेटर नवदीप सैनी का जन्म करनाल हरियाणा में हुआ। इसी दिन कंप्यूटर, सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनी आईबीएम ने एक हैंडहेल्ड, टचस्क्रीन मोबाइल फोन और पीडीए की शुरुआत की, जिसे पहला स्मार्टफोन माना जाता है।

1992 पॉप, कंट्री पॉप, हिप हॉप, प्रायोगिक और रॉक सहित विभिन्न शैलियों की विख्यात अमेरिकी गायिका मिली साइरस का जन्म हुआ।

1996 इथियोपिया के एक अपहृत विमान का ईंधन समाप्त होने पर वो हिंद महासागर में जा गिरा. इस विमान में चालक दल सहित कुल 175 लोग सवार थे जिनमें से कम से कम 100 लोग मारे गए। इथियोपियन एयरलाइंस के लिए आज भी 23 नवंबर का दिन किसी भयावह सपने से कम नहीं है। इथियोपियन एयरलाइंस के विमान बोइंग 767 ने अदीस अबाबा से नैरोबी के लिए उड़ान भरी थी। विमान में 175 लोग सवार थे। उड़ान भरे अभी कुछ वक्त ही हुआ था कि तीन अपहर्ताओं ने विमान का अपचालन कर लिया। अपहर्ता विमान को ऑस्ट्रेलिया ले जाना चाहते थे। वे सभी ऑस्ट्रेलिया में राजनीतिक शरण की मांग कर रहे थे। इसी बीच विमान का ईंधन खत्म हो गया। खतरे को समझते हुए कैप्टन लुल आबेट ने अपहर्ताओं से मोजाम्बिक के पहले कोमोरो द्वीप की राजधानी में मोरोनी के हवाई अड्डे पर विमान उतारने की मिन्नतें भी कीं, लेकिन उन्होंने एक नहीं सुनी। पैसेंजर्स को भी ईंधन खत्म होने और एक इंजन के बंद होने की जानकारी दे दी गई। सभी लोग यह समझ गए थे कि अब उन्हें कोई नहीं बचा सकता। पायलट ने क्रैश लैंडिंग की और विमान कोमोरो द्वीप समूह से करीब 500 मीटर की दूरी पर समुद्र में जा गिरा। थोड़ी ही देर में द्वीप पर पहले से मौजूद टूरिस्ट और रहवासी घटनास्थल पर पहुंच गए। हादसे में 100 लोगों की जान जा चुकी थी। 50 से ज्यादा लोगों को विमान से सुरक्षित निकाल लिया गया। बचने वालों में दो अपहर्ता भी थे। उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। यह एयरलाइंस हाईजैक की घटना दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी घटनाओं में से एक है।

1997 साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार विजेता नीरद सी चैधरी ने अपने जीवन के 100 वर्ष पूरे किये।

1998 सुमन राव के नाम से मशहूर जोधपुर राजघराने की सदस्य, जानी मानी खूबसूरत, बोल्ड भारतीय माॅडल, फेमिना मिस इंडिया एवं मिस वर्ल्ड ऐशिया सुमन रतन सिंह राव का जन्म जोधपुर में हुआ।

2002 जी-20 की बैठक नई दिल्ली में शुरू। इसी दिन 2002 में दंगों की वजह से नाइजीरिया से छिनी मिस वर्ल्ड प्रतियोगिता।

2005 एलेन जॉनसन सरलीफ ने लाइबेरियन आम चुनाव जीता, जिससे वह अफ्रीका में पहली लोकतांत्रिक रूप से निर्वाचित महिला प्रमुख बनीं।

2006 अमेरिका ने रूसी जेट निर्माण कंपनी सुखोई से प्रतिबंध हटाया।

2007 ऑस्ट्रेलिया में हुए चुनाव में लेबर पार्टी की जीत हुई।

2008 जम्मू एवं कश्मीर विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए मतदान के दूसरे चरण में 65 प्रतिशत मत पड़े।

2009 फिलीपींन्स में 32 मीडियाकर्मियों की हत्या कर दी गई। इसी दिन 2009 में जीन चार्ल्स डी मेनेजेस का परिवार, जिसे 2005 में लंदन में मेट्रोपॉलिटन पुलिस ने गलती से गोली मार दी थी, पुलिस के साथ एक मुआवजे के सौदे पर सहमत हुए। रकम की अदायगी के साथ उनके बीच सभी मुकदमे समाप्त हुए।

2011 अरब स्प्रिंग-यमन में 11 महीने के विरोध प्रदर्शन के बाद, यमन के राष्ट्रपति अली अब्दुल्ला सालेह ने इस्तीफा देकर उपराष्ट्रपति रब्बु मंसूर हादी को सत्ता हस्तांतरित करने पर सहमति व्यक्त की।

2012 मिस्र के राष्ट्रपति मोहम्मद मुर्सी द्वारा खुद को व्यापक नई शक्तियां देने के फैसले को पारित करने के बाद मिस्र में विपक्षी नेताओं ने बड़ी आपत्तियां जाहिर कीं और जनता के साथ सड़कों पर प्रदर्शन किया। सरकार द्वारा आंदोलनकारियों का दमन किया गया।

2013 सीरिया सरकार द्वारा उत्तरी सीरियाई शहर अलेप्पो के चारों ओर किए गये हवाई हमलों में 40 लोगों की जान ले ली।

2014 केन्याई सुरक्षा बलों ने सोमालिया में घुस कर कथित आतंकवादी समूह अल-शबाब की बस का अपहरण किया और अपने 28 लोगों की हत्या के जवाब में अल-शबाब के 100 सदस्यों को मार डाला।

2020 जाने माने राजनेता और असम के मुख्यमंत्री हुए तरुण गोगोई का निधन हुआ। इसी दिन जाने माने टेलीविजन और फिल्म अभिनेता विश्व मोहन बडोला का निधन हुआ।

1996: When a hijacked Ethiopian plane ran out of fuel, it crashed into the Indian Ocean. An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 767 had taken off from Addis Ababa to Nairobi. There were 175 people on board the aircraft. The plane had just taken off when three hijackers hijacked it.
